Vader swept into the room precisely on time, slamming the door hard enough to reverberate down the hallway. He dropped a box of cookies onto his desk, then pulled a box of water pistols from under his chair and put them next to the cookies.

"Today we talk about how a strict sense of right and wrong interferes in efficiency," he said, pacing the room and clearly intending to intimidate as many students as possible. "Employees who do not believe that there will be consequences for their incompetence become lazy, stupid, and easily replaceable."

Vader took the box of cookies from his desk and passed it around the room. "Each of you has a cookie," he said. "You will spend the rest of the class period using the tactics of fear, shame and guilt to get the other people in this classroom to give you their cookies." And yes, that word sounded incredibly strange coming from him. "You may not use any cookies you might have brought with you into this class. Whoever has the most cookies at the end of the class will get to keep them."

He crossed his arms over his chest. "Are these tactics unethical? Does it matter if you get what you want?"

Marco tucked his cookies into a pocket. "Well..first of all, do you have any proof that I stole your er, underwear? And are you kicking the other guys as well?"

"As soon as I find them, they're not gonna be able to walk for a week," Turtle said, with firm conviction as she crossed her arms over her chest, and an extra narrow of her eyes at Marco's wording. She had still been so...boggled at the phenomena of boykissy that she hadn't taken note of who was carrying what, but her suspicions as to who had gotten hers were now aroused. "Give me your cookies now, and you can save yourself from such a fate."

Marco calculated how long he would have to limp until he was somewhere private and how hard Turtle could actually kick. "Hmmm...nah. I actually kind of like this assignment."

Turtle's eyes shifted to Vader. She wondered if she'd get in much trouble if she kicked Marco now. She also wondered if she cared; last detention wasn't too bad. Her eyes went back to Marco.

"Last chance. Cookies or kicks. Your choice."

You would think Marco learned something from Rachel. Other than "scramble on to desk" that is. "I like the cookies."

So be it.

Turtle narrowed her eyes, drew her foot back, and then smashed it hard, firmly, into Marco's shin.

...The girl should really take up soccer with a crushing kick like that.

Marco saw stars. "OW! Owowow!" He began hoping on one foot, still careful of the cookies. "Oooow!"

Turtle felt no remorse. Marco had it coming, the dirty panty theif and cookie horder. Her work here finished, she spun around in pursuit of more willing cookies, whapping him with her braid for good measure.

"Ow! Mean girl!" Marco called after her, rubbing his shin. At least he had the cookies.

"You were warned!" Turtle shouted back. Marco should consider himself lucky; the other boys weren't going to get the benefit of a warning.

"What part of the instructions allowed for actual violence?" Vader snarled. "No part," he added, answering his own question. "Detention."

"I don't remember which part disallowed it, either," Turtle muttered in response. "What good are tactics of fear if you're not gonna follow through on 'em?"

Vader had a seriously skewed veiw of ethics.

"Not my rule," Vader said. "If I can't kill you all, you can't kick anyone. Learn to deal with it."

Yeah, because kicking someone and killing them was totally the same thing! Turtle sighed, heavily, exaggeratedly, briefly considered kicking Vader but...hell, she wasn't that stupid.

...Maybe next time.

...One of these days.

...Cripple him first, so he's on the ground, and she can kick that stupid helmet...
