"Welcome, one and all, to the first school assembly of the new semester! In case you haven't met me yet, I am The Tick! Dean of Students here at Fandom High. That means that where student issues are concerned, I am the parking attendant in the self park garage of your education!"

"Today, we have a special in the garage! It's a special that speaks of a different kind of special you might get in a seedier garage. Today's special is called DANK: Drugs Are Not Kool! Spelling is cool, of course, but sometimes you have to make an exception and spell something with a 'k' to work. Anyway, we will have several speakers this afternoon, guiding your car into a parking space of a clean and healthy life! Please welcome our guests!"

[OOC: Each speaker will have their own thread, plus there will be a Q&A thread at the end of the post for them to ping into. Also, since it seems appropriate this time, there will be a thread for after the assembly to speak to the guests a bit more privately. Please wait to ask the speakers questions until the speakers have pinged in.

~~Snerk~~ "He's not allowed to touch paper until he stops driving Matt nuts over some underwear thing," Danny replied.

It's possible he needed to pay closer attention to the not Matt written sketches.

"He could autograph a t-shirt then?"

Cause hey, free t-shirt maybe.

"Sure," Danny said. "But only official Studio 60 merchandise. The joke about bringing over SNL stuff and pretending you couldn't tell the difference got old back in the 80s."

"SNL hasn't been good since the 80's." Pippi said. "So, no danger of that."

"They've had their moments," Danny said. "But I don't know how long they expected to be cutting-edge considering they completely copied our format. Did they think nobody would notice?"

"The nerve of some people." Pippi said shaking her head.

She had almost no idea what they were talking about but she'd heard people having a similar conversation in Vegas.

"But I do give them credit for coming up with innovative sketches like The Coneheads and Wayne's World," Danny admitted.

"Not so much a fan of Goat Boy huh?"

"It's not one of my favorite pieces," Danny admitted.

"I like his stand up better."

"Never quite manage to make it to a show," Danny admitted. "Though Matt tries. We're always on the lookout for new talent that can meet our high standards of comedy. It's a tough job. Not everyone understands that it's more than being 'funny'."

"'Comedy is serious buisness?'"

"Absolutely," Danny said. "It's like life and death, only more important."

"Is that why you did all that blow?"

"No, but it didn't hurt either."

"Does it hurt now?"

"I love doing the show," Danny said, smoothly. "No regrets at all. It's a great opportunity."

What do you do with all the time and money you used to spend on blow?"

"Spend on Matt's antacid supply," Danny said. "I'm hoping to get that put under regular show expenses."

"Bah dum chhhh."

"Got a million of 'em," Danny replied. "Though I prefer to direct."

"Why's that?"

"Matt's the writer," Danny said. "I prefer to let him do his thing and then do my best to bring that to life on the screen."

"Okay, but why?"

"The beauty of taking all the elements of the best of everyone's talent and shaping it into the pinnacle of what it can be," Danny said. "Plus I like telling people what to do. Goes better than the other way around."
