Peter would have been perfectly happy to never conversation which was sure to be beyond embarrassing. But he'd put it off long enough so he came into the library slightly tentatively. "Afternoon, Bridge," he said with a nod.
"Err..." he shifted uncomfortably and wondering how exactly this was going to go about without dying from blushing. "I came to apologise to you. For the weekend. I'm dreadfully sorry."
"I know," Peter said. He didn't actually. "But still, I'd rather apologise and be sure things are fine." He grinned a bit, trying to change the subject. "Isabel and I agreed we'd spent the weekend reading enthralling books."
"I considered having some of my tactics notes' pie," Peter replied. "But I'm awfully glad I didn't since they turned back into notes while they'd been in my stomach.
