Bridge totally didn't almost forget he's got a new Library day. Nope. He's here, *on time*, with coffee in hand.

...and now said tiny plastic superheroes are attempting to reshelve books. It's not going well, because they can only reach the bottom shelves.

Mel entered the library and gawked at the plastic superheroes for a moment or two before looking around the library for a section on firearms.

"Hi!" Bridge waves cheerfully to the girl he doesn't recognize. "Whatcha lookin' for?"

"Firearms," Mel said keeping an eye on the superheroes. "Historical.. I mean modern firearms. Just something so I know what people are talking about around here."

"You're from the future too?" Bridge asks curiously.

"Yeah," Mel said looking surprised. "Around 2286. You're from the future too?"

"Only about fifteen years," Bridge admits. "But my reality seems to move... faster, or something, than the one most people are from. We've had colonies on other planets since 1999."

"Huh. That's definitely not where I'm from then," Mel said poking at a few books. "Weird. Just when I think I've got a handle on this place something throws me a curb ball."

"That's part of its charm," Bridge says. "Or something," he adds as he walks over to the section of the library that had information on modern ~~werepony~~ weaponry. "This probably has everything you need. And more. The library kind of has, like, everything *ever*."

"Yeah," Mel said as she took the book and suddenly thinking about the watcher library back home. "So does it have stuff only on this dimension? Does it have any information on demons or vampires?"

"Yep," Bridge nods. "Anything really, really dangerous? Like, spells and such? Is in Special Collections over there," he points to the section of the library. "If you want to go in you need a permission slip from a teacher, and a library aide needs to go with you."

"Books are dangerous?" Mel said looking confused for a second and then shrugging. "Why should I be surprised. I was attacked by a teddy bear yesterday."

"Some of them bite," Bridge says with a nod.

"Teddy bears or books?" Mel said arching an eyebrow.

"Both," Bridge says solemnly.

Marie stops by on her way to town for lunch with Lana.

"Hey," she says, after a moment of boggling at the tiny plastic superheroes shelving books. "How are you doing?"

"Marie!" Bridge waves. "Well, a bit weirded out by the toy thing, but otherwise... okay." Which wasn't entirely true because of the things he'd learned on Tuesday, but this is Bridge so he's *trying*.

"The toy thing is definitely odd," Marie agrees before giving Bridge a critical look. "Are you really okay or are you just saying that?"

"Talking to Xander was, um, interesting," Bridge admits after a moment of hesitation.

"Interesting good, interesting bad or interesting you don't want to talk about it in public?" Marie asks.

"All of the above?" Bridge tries. "It's been almost seven years for him, since he left."

There is a long moment of silence before Marie can even think about responding. "Oh, wow," she finally says, ever so eloquently. "So that would make him... twenty five or twenty six?"

"Twenty-six, yeah," Bridge nods. "So, yeah. That we've both changed since he left is... something of an understatement."

"Yeah, definitely," Marie agrees. "I don't think there's an easy answer to your situation."
