Ethics [Monday, January 15, 5th period]
Precisely on time, Darth Vader swept into the room and slammed the door firmly behind him.
"Today we talk about lying," he said, his masked face scanning the faces in front of him as he prowled around the classroom.
"Everyone lies," he stated flatly. "To hide things, to manipulate others, to avoid...unpleasantness." There was a definite hint of scorn in his voice at that last example. "In class today, you are required to pair up and only tell the truth." His cape whirled behind him. "And I can tell if you are not. Such disobedience will result in detention."
He paused for a moment. "And I don't believe in that axiom where if you cannot say something nice, you don't say anything at all. I do not require you to be nice. I require you to be honest." He glanced down at the student roster. "If everyone comes to class today, there will be an odd number. That final person will be interrogated by me."
He crossed his arms over his chest, his mechanical breathing the only sound for a moment. "Name. Place of birth. Classes you are taking," he barked out. "Proceed from there."

Re: Pair up and tell the truth
Neil paused, then blushed. "Err, I probably wouldn't have any idea how to dance to the music I hear a lot of students around here playing."
He grinned, then pursed his lips and asked. "What's your favorite ice cream?"
[ooc: The question was always here...move along...]
Re: Pair up and tell the truth
"Cold." Blair grinned. "Do you have any siblings?"
Re: Pair up and tell the truth
Neil grinned. "Nope, only child. What floor do you live on?"

Re: Pair up and tell the truth
"Um, you definitely should not ask me about how many times I snuck out of the dorms at Welton after curfew."
Neil thought for a moment, then tried to steer them back to less dangerous subject.
"Do you like Fandom High?"
Re: Pair up and tell the truth
"What's your family like?"
Re: Pair up and tell the truth
"Do you have a girlfriend here at school?"
Re: Pair up and tell the truth
"Yup, I do. How about you? Or a boyfriend?"
Re: Pair up and tell the truth
"What's your favorite course that you've taken while you've been here?"
Re: Pair up and tell the truth
"What's your biggest fear?"
Re: Pair up and tell the truth
"So, think that's enough questions?"
Neil glanced up towards the clock, thinking it could certainly be enough questions, right?
Re: Pair up and tell the truth
Blair? A little obsessed with fathers.
Re: Pair up and tell the truth
"Well..uh...I mean, it's sort of expected in my era. You honor and obey your parents, particularly your father as the head of the household. He's not scary I guess he's just strict and I want to please him so it can be frightening to fail to live up to his expectations."
Which, was all sort of the truth. Neil did honestly hate to disappoint his folks, especially his father.

Re: Pair up and tell the truth
"Let's say, more that maybe I'm scared of disappointing him? So I sort of short hand that to being scared of him."
