Hunting 101 - Class 15 Final Exam (Wednesday, period 7)

When the students entered the Danger Shop they found themselves in a foyer of a large lavish house. There is a staircase going upstairs on the left hand side and on the right a large set of double doors through which could be heard the sounds of music and people talking.

John was leaning against the bottom of the staircase railing. "Good afternoon," he said. "Welcome to your final exam. Beyond those doors over there a party is going on. Unfortunately, it's been invaded by demons, who have possessed one or more party goers. Your final test is to find the demon, trap and exorcise it." He smiled faintly. "You do have one advantage -- the room at the end of the hall at the top of the stairs has a Devil's Trap from the Key of Solomon on the ceiling. There are also various supplies, in a chest in the corner."

John stepped forward and glanced over all of the students. "This is our last class and I'd like to take the opportunity to let you know how much I enjoyed teaching you. I hope you never need to use what you've learned here, but if you do, I know you'll be prepared."

"And now," John grinned wolfishly. "Who's going demon hunting first?"

[OOC: wait for OCD's are up. Thanks for making my first time running a class such a fun experience. You've all been great! Also if you want to put in a suggestion of what mark you think your character deserves, that would be helpful. :)]

Alec walked in, picking up a drink from a waiter's tray as he glanced around the room. Wondering what a demon would be doing at a party like this, he went to talk to the first person who seemed amicable to conversation.

Pip popped his neck as he entered and wondered if he could use his arm in a sling as a conversation starter.

Maybe it'd be an attractive demoness and he'd get to seduce her upstairs.

Alanna was a little twitchy. Possible because the last party she attended ended in a dead body.

Kawalsky grabbed a drink and started to mingle.

Bel was never good at mingling. He surveyed the party.

Seely composed his features in a serene expression, and looked around at the party guests.

Conner was a little less sure of himself at these sort of events without a date on his arm. It was kind of . . . wrong. But he was trying.

Walter snagged a tray of drinks and began to circulate among the guests.

Hey, he knew from personal experience that people tended to overlook the servants.

Sam was so not a party person, but he was getting better at faking it. He glanced around casually, looking for anyone who might seem out of place.

Hermione's never been good at parties, so she's kind of off to the side looking for anyone who might set up a red flag.

Slipping his gloves into his jacket pockets, Bridge gives the room a quick scan in search of the demon.

Dawn looked around the room, trying to figure out who the person was who looked the most in place and appropriate. In her rather limited experience, it was always the cool, together people who were the demons. Dorks were just...dorks.

Also, maybe she'd get lucky and the demon would just try to kidnap her. That was usually a pretty good hint.

Will grabbed some snacks from a table on the side, and started heading towards a nearby group of people. She sometimes got headaches when facing monsters from other worlds like Metamoor, and silently hoped to herself that that might work here.
