Hunting 101 - Class 15 Final Exam (Wednesday, period 7)

When the students entered the Danger Shop they found themselves in a foyer of a large lavish house. There is a staircase going upstairs on the left hand side and on the right a large set of double doors through which could be heard the sounds of music and people talking.

John was leaning against the bottom of the staircase railing. "Good afternoon," he said. "Welcome to your final exam. Beyond those doors over there a party is going on. Unfortunately, it's been invaded by demons, who have possessed one or more party goers. Your final test is to find the demon, trap and exorcise it." He smiled faintly. "You do have one advantage -- the room at the end of the hall at the top of the stairs has a Devil's Trap from the Key of Solomon on the ceiling. There are also various supplies, in a chest in the corner."

John stepped forward and glanced over all of the students. "This is our last class and I'd like to take the opportunity to let you know how much I enjoyed teaching you. I hope you never need to use what you've learned here, but if you do, I know you'll be prepared."

"And now," John grinned wolfishly. "Who's going demon hunting first?"

[OOC: wait for OCD's are up. Thanks for making my first time running a class such a fun experience. You've all been great! Also if you want to put in a suggestion of what mark you think your character deserves, that would be helpful. :)]

Alec looked through the box, picking out a bottle of holy water (which he put in his pocket), a rope (which he put near the door, but not too obviously in sight) and made sure the book with the exorcism ritual was easily available. Then, as prepared as he figured he could be, he left the room to go join the party.

Pip grabbed a gun and some holy water in case of personal defense. He slipped the holy water into one of his voluminous pockets and concealed the gun in a shoulder holster.

He got the book out with the back cover facing up, so as not to arouse too much suspicion, and went down to the party.

Alanna grabbed a bottle of holy water and a gun. A minute later, she remembered the book.

Gun, holy water, salt, book.

Bel set the blue lunchbox carefully to the side, out of the way, and picked up holy water, salt, a gun, and book.

Nobody better be a wiseass and try to hunt him.

Seely stared at the contents of the box. He pulled out a flask of holy water, a container of salt, a rosary, the book with the exorcism ritual and a gun, just in case.

After thinking about it minute longer, Seely returned to the box and dug around in it, eventually coming up with a battered bible and a slightly crumpled cassock. He pulled the page with the ritual out and carefully tucked it into the front of the bible, making sure it wouldn't fall out.

While the outfit might make it harder to take the demon unawares, no one would look twice at a priest for carrying most of this stuff ready to hand, which would save time, and they wouldn't believe he'd be packing heat.

Conner rummaged through the supplies and came up with the basics: holy water and chunks of rock salt that he could stash away in the pockets of his leather jacket without making them too obvious, a pair of knives, and the book.

Thank whoever for cargo pants.

Walter selected the basics - a pocketful of salt, a flask of holy water in his waistcoat pocket, and the book with the ritual.

John picked up a gun, some salt, the book, some holy water and went downstairs to the party.

Like everyone else, Sam grabbed a bottle of holy water and some salt, and took a knife as well - but he left the book behind. He didn't have many opportunities to impress his dad, so he was taking this one while he could.

Peter filled his pockets with rock salt, grabbed a knife in a sheath to stick in his pants at the small of his back, a flask of holy water, and the book.

Hermione's not touching the gun, but she takes some holy water, rope, the book with the incantation, and salt, since that seems to come in really handy sometimes.

After some consideration, Dawn chose salt, a bottle of holy water, and a knife in a sheath, which she slid into the waistband of her pants. At the last minute, she grabbed a couple of pieces of white chalk and slid a copy of the demon's trap into her pocket. It was nice that Professor Winchester had drawn one already, but it was good to be prepared.

After rooting through the supplies provided, Will grabbed some holy water, a lot of salt, the book, and a crucifix necklace, which she hung around her neck.

She also grabbed a gun as an after thought, but didn't really plan to use it.

Alec walked in, picking up a drink from a waiter's tray as he glanced around the room. Wondering what a demon would be doing at a party like this, he went to talk to the first person who seemed amicable to conversation.

Pip popped his neck as he entered and wondered if he could use his arm in a sling as a conversation starter.

Maybe it'd be an attractive demoness and he'd get to seduce her upstairs.

As Dawn ran into the room at the end of the hall, she could only hope she had the right one. She got the salt out of her pocket, just in case she didn't.

"Sir, do you still want me to do my final in this way? I think I could handle it, but I might need an extra arm to carry things," Pip said, indicating his arm in the sling.
