"Yes that package! Did you do your Christmas shopping online?" she asked. "I did a bunch of it. I'm expecting a UPS truck to pull up and unload into my room any day now."
"Actually, this is all I've got so far. And it's a pre-gift gift." Jack lay the chopsticks across his plate and reached down, setting the package (http://shopping.franklincovey.com/shopping/catalog/productaccessories.jsp?navAction=push&crc=&navCount=1&id=prod1700013) on the table. "For you, as a matter of fact. Not that I'm saying you need help," he smiled across the table at her, pushing it closer, "but I stumbled across it and thought of you."
Isabel tried to open the box without looking too eager, but still it was open in moments, the contents spread across the table in front of her. "Oh this is absolutely perfect! Thank you!"
Looking - and feeling - ridiculously pleased with himself, he tapped a couple of the items. "I figure this way no matter what happens, you'll be able to plan for it. I picked the red one because red seems to be a Christmas colour."
"Should I schedule the invasion now?" she grinned. "Maybe the first weekend in January? And red is perfect. I have a fondness for red leather. Which sadly you do not remember."
"No invasions allowed unless they're in the planner," he laughed, then lifted an eyebrow, looking very intrigued. "Exactly what sort of fondness are we talking about?"
"Exactly. Between now and December 24th, I'm on a strict schedule. No disruptions allowed." Isabel tried to look innocent as she considered the question, but mostly she looked smug. "There's this little red dress in my closet. The one and only time I wore it since I've been here was for your birthday party."
Jack leaned forward, licking his lips before he caught himself. "You wore a little red leather dress to my birthday party?" He looked down, then back up, a glint in his eyes. "Any chance you might wear it again?"
"Don't tell me. I wouldn't be able to resist getting it for you, and you in red leather, especially if there's not much of it, would be the death of me." He grinned at her. "There's only so much my poor heart can take."
Jack groaned and dropped his head into his hands. "Like that nothing you gave her for halloween wasn't enough. I am completely doomed." He didn't sound at all unhappy about the prospect, though.
