Library [10/26]

Rory wandered into the library earlier than she even had to be there, really, and positioned herself behind the desk.

"Hi!" Rory says, bouncing and grinning. "See, if you're going to call me that, I'm going to be sad when my laugh doesn't induce a change in weather."

"Actually," Bridge rummages around in his backpack for something, which he then hides behind his back so Rory can't see. "You should try laughing now," he says, totally innocently.

Rory peers at him. "What are you hiding?"

"Nothing. Nothing at all."

"I'm not sure I believe you." Rory giggled obligingly, though.

And that'd be when the sound of thunder crashing starts playing from the device Bridge is holding behind one hand, and he holds a flashing strobe light up in the other.

That just makes her laugh more, though she holds a finger up to her mouth and says, "Shhh! It's a library!" through her glee.

Bridge obligingly dials the volume down on the thunder.

Rory bites her lip. "Are you going to follow me around and do that everytime I laugh?"

"Well that might get complicated what with classes and all, and you probably don't want me around 24/7, so probably not," Bridge admits.

"I wouldn't mind having you around," she says with a blush, and adds, "but no, classes are important and so on. I'll just have to tell people and then if they don't believe me, they get referred to you."

"This is a good plan," Bridge agrees. "I could provide demonstrations if they request."

"But not everyone gets the fun weather when they laugh, as not everyone is a countess or count," Rory points out.

"Well no," Bridge says. "It would still be your weather. Just on a time-delay."

Rory smiles somewhat dorkily at him, and holds out a small bag. "Want some popcorn? And see, popcorn is a vegetable. So I am eating healthily."

"I'm so proud." Bridge gives Rory a thumbs up and snags a few kernels of popcorn.

"As you should be," Rory says. "I also have Pop Tarts, and they are strawberry and part of a balanced breakfast so they have to be good for me too."

"Do you have juice?" Bridge asks mock-sternly.

"I have...the juice of coffee beans," Rory says innocently.

Bridge sighs and facepalms.

"You can have some," Rory offers generously.

"Thank you." Bridge is still facepalming, but he holds out his other hand.

"I only have the one thermos," Rory says, handing it to him, "so sorry if you're worried about getting my cooties."

Sometimes Rory is weird.

"You know, we may be past the cootie stage." Bridge points out helpfully.

"...possibly," Rory admits, blushing.
