Fencing Club, 5pm, Salle.

Peter arrived at the salle a bit later than he generally would. He hurried in to set up as others came into the salle.

"I apologise, I don't have a demonstration set up this week from anyone, so I think this shall be a rather basic week. Pair off or work on your forms alone if you like. Those of you who are starting out, if you pair off with each, we can work on some general block and attack sequences."

"No demonstration?" Willow made a tsking sound of disapproval. "I may quit the club now. I'm very disappointed."

"If you would like to volunteer..." Still grinning, Peter let the sentence trail off.

"I was thinking more like you should bribe me to forget this horrible injustice," Willow replied.

"Hmm," Peter said. "I was thinking more like you should help solve the injustice."

"You're never going to learn if I enable your mistakes like that," Willow said.

"Not having a demonstration," Willow said. She shook her head. "Very sloppy. For shame."

Peter grinned. "I could have done it, I suppose, but that seemed a bit - conceited."

"True," Willow grinned back. "Your rampant ego does need to be kept in check."

"So I need to bribe you to forget the terrible mess I made of today?" Peter replied. "Since we agree I had no alternative?"

"Correct on all counts," Willow said. "I would also add a measure of expediency to this bribe if I were you."

"I'll teach you a new form," Peter offered.

"Oo!" Willow perked up. "That's actually a good offer."

Peter grinned. "Not that I won't teach you whenever you like, but there's one I was thinking of for you."

Willow blushed. "No fair distracting me!"

"Wasn't trying to," Peter replied, rather pleased with himself.

Peter chuckled. "Do you want to learn it or not?"

Willow smiled. "Yes, please!"

Nodding at Willow to get a practice blade, Peter moved into a ready position. Once she was ready, he moved slowly into a form that emphasized footwork and would help her work on her balance as well. The sword moves mostly flowed into each other. Block to strike to turn.

Willow concentrated and did her best to follow along. She got confused on some of the moves as she went, but kept going anyway.
