Monday, October 23, First Period

The classroom doesn't look much different than it did during Parents Weekend, except for the addition of a large tropical fish aquarium against one wall. In it are swimming five very content looking fish. If it doesn't seem to have any significance to the topic of Prophecy, that's because...well, it doesn't. Aziraphale just likes the fish.

"Today we're going to cover several somewhat lesser utilized methods of divination. Specifically, we'll be talking about elemental methods and handful of what you could call the most common of the less common -- including my personal favorite, the reading of tea leaves. There's even a form of divination using specially designed computer programs, although that one is somewhat under dispute."

"To prepare for next week's class, I want you to write briefly about a historical personage associated with prophecy, telling whether you'd like to change places with that person, and why or why not."

There was really only one thing Nadia wished she'd known before, and it wasn't something she was supposed to talk about. So she doodled in her notebook and looked around for someone else to interrogate get to talk.

"I got a good one for you if you don't got one and you don't mind doing the participation with me."

"The ghost of my dead Grandfather came to visit for Parents Weekend. He yelled at Pip for not raping me, was generally distraught over the fact that I'm apparently a good student, and got into a pissing contest with Pip's Grandfather over how many people he and I have killed and at what ages."

Nadia blinked. "You've killed people?" She shook her head. "And he yelled at Pip for what?"

"I really try not to." Pippi said. "But..."

She waved her hand.

"It's happened. I don't like to talk about it if that's okay. But yeah... Yelled at Pip for not raping me... Pirate."

Nadia nodded to let Pippi know that she didn't have to talk about it. "What did Pip say to that? I can't imagine he liked it very much."

"'Have you raped my sondotter?'... 'I wouldn't call it rape.' Aaaaand then the yelling started."

"I wish I would've known that Donovan McNabb was going to barf all over the center's ass right at the beginning of that play yesterday in the Philadelphia-Tampa Bay game, so I could've changed the channel," complained Anders, who hadn't in fact left his room all weekend. "Ruined my dinner right there."

"Kaylee's captain," Joxer said. "He said that it happens to anyone who gets a member of his crew..." he gulped. "Pregnant out of wedlock."

"I wish I had known how my friend was going to embarass me this weekened," Marty replied. "Then again that's pretty much a given on Parent's weekend."

Dawn actually had a lot of fun this weekend and hadn't fought with Buffy, for a change. "I wish I'd known how much I was going to miss my sister after she left."

"I didn't go to parents weekend...I don't have parents anymore. I went to see Susan and I wish I had known that ..." Maia paused, there was nothing she didn't know ahead of time. "I wish I had known the Simon my fish needed to be fed before I left." She finished sort of lamely.
