Balancing his coffee and a blueberry muffin precariously on one arm, Bridge opens up the library and settles in behind the desk with his mp3 player.

Well Rory had definitely succeeded in startling him, that was for sure. However, that didn't actually stop him from kissing *back*.

Rory, caught in a sudden attack of nerves, pulls back and says the only thing she can think of.

"Sorry," she says barely audibly, and blushes so hard that she might explode. She turns to flee.

Okay, and *that* startles him even more than the attempted fleeing.

"Don't be," Bridge says quietly. "Don't *leave*. Please?"

Rory gives him a shy smile. "You're not like...mad or offended or anything?" Her smile widens a fraction. "And I startled you, right?"

"I'm not mad," Bridge says with a shy smile of his own. "It was... really nice. And yeah, you did."

"I win!" Rory says, brightening a little more.

"As losses go, I have no complaints about that one at all." Bridge admits.

Rory blushes harder. "So maybe...itcouldhappenagainsometime?"

"I'd really like that," Bridge says, blushing as well.

"I mean, it could happen again now, even," Rory says, very seriously.

"It could?" Bridge asks, hopefully.

"It could," Rory says, trying not to smile. "I mean, if someone decided to actually get in that sort of proximity with someone else again, and I already did that today."

"Oh, well," Bridge says. "I *was* going to... but if you'd rather I go find someone else?" he teases.

"That would probably require me to like...get up and stuff," Rory says, frowning thoughtfully. "No, really, you're the best candidate since I'm very lazy."

"Well, in that case," Bridge says. "Though I'm not sure if I'm supposed to encourage laziness..." he trails off as he leans in to kiss her.

Rory starts to say, "Laziness is more fun," but there's an issue with not being able to kiss and talk at the same time.

So she just does that instead.

"So am I supposed to try and run away now?" Bridge says. Eventually.

"Do you want to?" Rory asks softly, still looking nervous.

"No!" Bridge says, wide-eyed. "That's kind of the last thing I want to do."

One wouldn't think she'd be capable of blushing more, but Rory has special complexion powers, or something. "Oh," she says, smiling in a very dorky way. "Then no, don't. Staying like...here would be a good thing."

"Will you stay too?" Bridge asks hopefully.

"If you want me to," she says shyly.

"Please?" Bridge asks.

"Okay." Rory reaches into her bag. "Gummi penguin? I would've shared them at lunch but I wasn't here, you know."

"Oh!" Bridge says. "Thanks. Um, I have trail mix?" he offers her the bag.
