School Assembly, Friday Afternoon, The Auditorium

After watching the crowd gather and encouraging them to settle down long enough to listen to people talk, The Tick began to speak.

"Welcome, students and faculty, to our first assembly of the year! We'll be doing these to help impart something to our students. Give them advice, entertainment, and something worthwhile to do on a Friday afternoon!"

"Today you'll be getting advice from several speakers. They are motivational speakers, people who speak and give advice to help you better yourself! They are the tops in their individual fields, respective Everests, and this assemply is your sherpa, helping you scale that mountain to a better you!"

"Some of today's speakers are professional motivational speakers! Some are fellow students with some special advice! And one is a local business owner just looking to help out!"

"I think it's about time to let them do their jobs now. Please give the speakers your undivided attention and have some fun!"

[OOC: Each speaker will have their own thread, plus there will be a Q&A thread at the end of the post for them to ping into. Please wait to ask the speakers questions until the speakers have pinged in.

There are also a couple of general conversation threads for people who don't want to give their undivided attention. :)

Mac slipped into a seat to one side of the auditorium. Fandom high school assembly? Could be interesting, or weird, or more likely both actually.

"Hey Cally," Mac said. She nodded in the vague direction of the stage, "This should be... different."

"Yeah," Cally said. "I'm kinda... worried. We didn't really have these last year. This could be... disturbing."

Mac nodded, "I didn't remember having them before. It's just asking for an invasion of something."

"I know a good place to hide, if it comes to that," Cally said. "We'll be safe."

Mac grinned, "Well that's good to know, and strange how comforting knowing where the nearest hiding places are around here. Lets hope we don't need it."

"Yeah, everything here can't end up like badness," Cally said. "Besides, we totally aren't, like, overdue for any of that. Some nice fun'd be nice. Or, tolerable boredom, if it's not fun."

"I say we deserve the happy," Mac decided. "Not sure if assembly is quite going to do that, but maybe it'll be amusing at the very least."

Mac grinned, "Now that I can do, and some of the bizarre events, and seriously odd people around here just cry out for it. Really." She may or may not be thinking about her last encounter with Pete.

"I've been sooo sick." Lavender grinned. "It feels good to just be out and about at this point. So what have I missed? Oh! How was your date?"

"Aaw, well I'm glad it looks like you're feeling better." Mac looked down at her hands and grinned, "and the date was good, or... at least I think it was good."

Lavender grinned back. "Oh yeah? The big grin on your face makes me think it was really good." She paused. "Any homecoming plans?"

Lavender giggled. "Do you have a dress? Something to make Cally's jaw drop?"

"Not yet," Mac said, shaking her head. "Cally and I were going to go look for something sometime this week. You have anything to wear yet?"
