After watching the crowd gather and encouraging them to settle down long enough to listen to people talk, The Tick began to speak.

"Welcome, students and faculty, to our first assembly of the year! We'll be doing these to help impart something to our students. Give them advice, entertainment, and something worthwhile to do on a Friday afternoon!"

"Today you'll be getting advice from several speakers. They are motivational speakers, people who speak and give advice to help you better yourself! They are the tops in their individual fields, respective Everests, and this assemply is your sherpa, helping you scale that mountain to a better you!"

"Some of today's speakers are professional motivational speakers! Some are fellow students with some special advice! And one is a local business owner just looking to help out!"

"I think it's about time to let them do their jobs now. Please give the speakers your undivided attention and have some fun!"

[OOC: Each speaker will have their own thread, plus there will be a Q&A thread at the end of the post for them to ping into. Please wait to ask the speakers questions until the speakers have pinged in.

"We can sit here and make fun of things, if neccessary," Cally said. "Mocking can be our specialty."

Mac grinned, "Now that I can do, and some of the bizarre events, and seriously odd people around here just cry out for it. Really." She may or may not be thinking about her last encounter with Pete.

"Yeah," Cally said. Also thinking of Pete. "So... dress shopping?"

"Dress shopping," Mac confirmed. "When are you going to be around to do that?"

"I'm around a lot," Cally said. "When's good for you?"

"Uh, tuesday maybe?" Mac asked.

"Tuesday's good," Cally said. "I can do Tuesday. Tuesday is a great option."

Mac smiled, and nodded in agreement. "Well, good," she said ~~because she's totally not around most other days~~.

"I guess it's a date, then," Cally said, blushing a little as she smiled.

"Guess so," Mac said, and smiled. "You have any clue what you're looking for?"

"Erm, a dress," Cally said, not really helpfully. "Other than that... not really."

"Well, that's kinda comforting, because I don't really know either."

"So we can sort of grope our way in the darkness together," Cally said.

The she coughed.

"That's a saying. That's not me implying we should be... I said nothing."

Mac pressed her lips together in an attempt not to laugh. "I get you," she said. "And, something like that, yeah."

"We'll be supporty and stuff," Cally said. "And if we make horrible dress choices, well, at least we'll both have made them."

"With two of us there, the chances of making horrible choices should techincally go down... in theory, anyway."

"True," Cally said. "But I'm telling you right now, I'm definitely not wearing anything pink."

Mac pulled a face, and nodded in agreement. "I generally only do pink if it's flourescent and in my hair."

"Yeah, I'm mostly monochrome and orange girl, usually," Cally said. "Though I can branch out, if you think it'd work."
