Bridge arrives bright and early for his first time opening the library, and and settles in behind the desk with a notebook and schematics for the projects he's currently working on.

"Well, if you were really mean to one of the normal books, it might bite," Rory replies. "I mean, maybe. I've never made them that mad."

"Yes, because you know me, with the meanness. All the time." Bridge says, sticking out his tongue.

"So mean," Rory says solemnly. "Look, you're being mean right now. That's a mean facial expression."

"I'm sorry," Bridge says honestly. "I didn't mean to be mean, I was just teasing."

Rory raises her eyebrow. "That was a joke. But seriously, is your first day going okay? No one's like, turned themselves into a cookie and had people coming in to researchh or anything?"

"Oh," Bridge says, blushing slightly. "Uh, so far? No. But there's half a day left so I wouldn't rule it out just yet."

"The day is young," Rory agrees. "Do you have any classes this afternoon? It's my free day so I can hang in here while you're out if you need me to."

"Just Hunting, last period," Bridge says. "Other'n that I can be here all day."

"Awesome, I'll come by," Rory replies. "Is that Hunting as in Sam and Dean's dad's class that Blair protests?"

"Yeah, that's the one," Bridge says.

"Do you think Blair has a point?" Rory asks curiously, perching lightly on the desk.

"Rory, where I'm from? Earth has been openly under attack from various hostile forces for the past, like, thirty years. Sometimes, talking just doesn't work," he says.

Then she points at her neck.

"I disagree with him too," she says lightly.

"I'd be surprised if that weren't the case," Bridge says. "Judging from my own secondhand experience in regards to that particular incident."

"I'd almost forgotten about that," Rory says. "So you'll have to let me know secondhand what you learn in there, even though I'm kind of sticking to the home support angle."
