Friday: Energy & Fitness Week 2

A note was left on the door of the classroom instructing his class to meet him in the gym in ten minutes dressed for a work out.

Yondaime was there waiting for them this time instead of being late. 'Cept he seemed to be arguing with a small red frog... that was actually arguing back. They both looked up at once as the students started to appear and the frog disappeared in a small puff of smoke leaving the blond looking rather annoyed as he waited for everyone to arrive. He put on a smile though and waited for everyone to show up before he started speaking.

"I'm glad to see everyone here again and that I didn't scare you off last week." He chuckled slightly at himself; it was kind of sad, but he was trying to not be annoyed at his amphibian visitor. "Today we'll be running tests, not fun I know, but I'll need to know all of your skill levels before I break you up into teams." Yondaime explained and turned to his TAs motioning for them to join him. "You two will be tested last since I'll need your help administering them." He smiled and ruffled Skif's hair before turning to the rest of the class.

"After I lead you through warm-ups, we'll go through the tests and yes you will be graded on these." He waited for the impending moan of protest regarding that, but they wouldn't really he just wanted them to have the incentive to perform to their best abilities.

"Sure, no problem." Skif played with one of the stopwatches, watching the numbers whirl by. Then stopped it suddenly and looked up at Yondaime. "...And don't ruffle my hair. It's annoying."

Fast Edward was not - came from dragging around two limbs made of steel. However he has a decent gait and almost four years experience with it so he makes decent time, nothing spectacular.

You had to be fast to make a goal-scoring break on a small triangular court (http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Image:Bscap3463pu.jpg) with up to eight people on it, so Anders had spent a lot of time working on sprints and short bursts of speed. He'd never make a record time in the 100-meter dash, since he didn't have a sprinter's build, but he made really good time.

Dean had the long legs and stamina of a long-distance runner, and sprints weren't his forte. He was still moderately good, though, making efficient turns born of agility on the basketball court.

With the amount of running that he did, Cameron didn't have any problems with this test. He finished in a good time, even if he did run one of the cones over when he took his second turn a bit too enthusiastically.

Fast was something Sakurazaki could also do well. She still stood her ground that she could still beat Ranma in a race...and was just reminded that they really should have that rematch soon...

Anyway, she took off, her usual, strange, birdlike sprint, with her upperbody lowered forward and her arms sometimes behind her like wings, with long quick strides. So she not only made good time but she also looked good doing it, if not just very, very interesting.

Cally's decent with her speed. She's nowhere near as fast as the more athletic types, but she's not slow. And she's not out of breath afterwards, which is a definite improvement.

Togusa was able to make the sprint fairly easily, already having been trained back home in such things.

Alphonse was a relatively quick person; he didn't exactly sprint often though, but at least he made a good time.

Once Zuko managed to convince himself this whole thing wasn't stupid (even if he did think the cones looked it), he made the sprints in a good time.

Skif clicked the stopwatch to end Zuko's timer. "Come on! You can do better than that!"

Pip wrapped his braid around his neck and put his long legs to good use, making it back at an impressive clock.
