"Good morning," V greeted quietly from the shadows when everyone had arrived. "Today we shall discuss the Judicial system of the United States, as well as due process."

He continued on in a low voice for a few minutes, hitting high points like the Miranda warning, trial by jury and the fifth amendment to the United States' Constitution, and stressing the fact that while their homes may be found in other places, the States is their home for the time being and thus is the system with which to chiefly concern themselves.

"However," V continued, "there are very definitely two sides to the law, and at least two parties to consider. Hence...we're going to engage in an activity."

He gestured expansively. "One half of you will be criminals who have been apprehended for a crime of your choosing. The rest of you will be the arresting officers, of sorts. Accused students? You are to attempt to escape arrest via whatever means necessary - nonviolent, please, but lying, cheating, conniving, negotiating...all of these are encouraged. And arrestors? You are to be fair, but stand by your principles and do your best to keep them from escaping, please."

He glanced at the roster for scarcely a second before saying, "If your surname, or only name if you have a single name, ends in an N or an R, you are a criminal. The rest of you are officers. Please pair up."

ETA: Due to various things, we're shorter on cops than we are on robbers. So extra robbers, please team up, or crash a thread to help one of the others escape. My apologies for apparently not being able to count or something.]

"I'm sure there must be some way to appease the demon gods without virginity coming into it," Seely said. "Enthusiam, perhaps?"

"There's always points for that," Bel said. "But would you be? Enthusiastic, I mean."

Seely started smirking. "You need a demonstration? Because I'm up for that anytime."

Bel cocked his head, not entirely sure where this was all going. "Okay, show me then," he challenged.

"I thought you'd never ask." Pushing off the wall, Seely leant in towards Bel, until their faces were mere inches apart. "You're under arrest for public indecency, livestock theft, and beastiality." He then lunged for Bel's wrists.

Bel instinctively shimmered, but not before Seely had a hold of one of his wrists. Well, shimmering with a passenger wasn't anything new, so if Seely didn't let go, he'd end up coming with him.

Booths always got their men, so Seely held on to Bel's wrist. Once Bel started shimmering he held on for dear life.

They reappeared on the opposite side of the room. Bel tried to take advantage of Booth's probable surprise by jerking free. "I can do this all day, you know," he said. "I've got stamina."

Seely shook his head to try and clear away the dizziness, before attempting to regain his grip on Bel. "You're not the only one. Bring it."

Bel grinned. "You don't wanna know the places I can take you," he said.

"Doesn't mean I won't keep right on following you."

"Awww, that mean you'd follow me even into hell?" Bel asked.

"If I had too," Seely replied in complete seriousness. "Booths don't give up."

"I could shimmer you over a pit of lava and just drop you in," Bel pointed out. "I've done it before."

"Doesn't necessarily mean you'll be able to do it again."

"How you gonna stop me?" Bel asked. "I'm a hardened criminal! I'm desperate to escape!"

"I'll do whatever it takes."

"Not gonna be enough," Bel said. "No mere human is gonna take me down."

"I wouldn't be so sure of that if I were you."

Bel snickered. "All this posturing isn't gonna prove anything. You can't hold me, that's the simple truth."

"It's only posturing if you don't intend to follow through."

"I can shimmer, man," Bel said. "How are you going to keep me in a jail cell? You're just wasting your time."

"You broke the law. Bringing you in is not a waste of time."

"Bored now," Bel said. "You'll just have to catch me if you can then. Which you, well, can't."

Which was when Seely went to tackle Bel.
