Fandom High Library, Wednesday, 9/6

Angela came in a little late, clutching a mug of chai and a bagel like lifelines. She loaded a copy of the Sims into her "new" laptop and started trying to keep a very whiny miniature couple alive.

The library was open.

After Ms. Readman came in, Angela put a stack of applications on the counter and waited to see who would appply.

Too bad they wouldn't quit arguing long enough to move in.

Yomiko came into the library carrying her briefcase and a stack of forms. "Angela, could you stick a link to these in the post make sure people know these are available?" she asked.

"Sure though I'll have to retcon my conversation with Bridge," Angela agreed, and went to do that.

"Hope we get some good applications," she said when she was done. "I like the questions."

"So I should tell you something," Angela began hesitantly, once the forms had been put out and a sign was on the door. "Two somethings, actually."

"Oh?" Yomiko asked.

"First thing is I'm going home for a few days, so I won't be in tomorrow or Friday," Angela said. "That's okay, right?"

She looked shyly at Yomiko before continuing. "The second thing isn't definite or anything, but if we get enough good applications, I might cut way back on my library hours or something once people are trained. It's not you, like, at all -- I'm just ready for a change. I wanted you to know so you could hire enough people to replace me." She shrugged. "I'll stick around as long as you need me to transition."

"That's fine," Yomiko said. "And if you choose to leave, we'll miss your experience, I'm sure, but it's your decision to make."

"And I'll miss being here," Angela said honestly. "It's been an awesome job."
