As the students enter into the music room, previous students of music class might notice that the entire classroom has been renovated to look like a nightclub complete with stage, tables, booths and a bar which unfortunately has only non-alcoholic drinks. ~~Damn it~~

When the students take their seats the lighting changes over the stage and Lorne appears and from nowhere music begins to play.

Scattered applause is heard even though the students may not be clapping. Funn that. Lorne smiles and begins to speak as the music continues to play in the background.

"Hello my cats and kittens of the classroom! For those of you don't
know me I'm Krevlornswath of The Deathwok Clan, but everybody calls me
Lorne. Or if you're a fan of kid shows, I'm better known as "Uncle
Lorne the green guy with Horns".

"Today's class is all about getting to know each other... I want you
all to pick a song and either sing it or play it for everyone and tell
us what that song means to you. You might ask why I picked my song?
Well frankly kids is because..."

Haven't you noticed
Suddenly I'm bright and breezy?
Because of all the beautiful and new
Things I'm learning about you
Day .. by ... day.

*Scattered Applause*

"Oh thank you! You're too kind!"

Zuko's eyes widened as Lorne started singing. Who the hell signed him up for this class to begin with. No, he was not getting up to perform.

He was eyeing the door and pondering to pull a runner however.

Marie noticed the look on Zuko's face. "You okay?" she asked.

"This is worse than music night on the ship," Zuko hissed.

"Well, we're here to learn," Marie pointed out. "Some of these people might get better."

"I'm not sticking around to find out," Zuko said, stubbornly sticking his chin out.

Marie frowned. "I can sit further away if you want. Sorry, I didn't mean to freak you out. But I wanted to thank you for helping the other day."

Because, yeah, in Marie's mind, he'd be perfectly justified for not wanting to be near her.

The only thing freaking Zuko out that he was in an actual class about music. He frowned right back at Marie. "I didn't do anything," he finally said.

"You were nice to me," Marie pointed out. "And didn't try to touch me."

She fidgeted with her gloves. It still felt weird to have them on.

Being told he was nice to someone wasn't something he was used to. Zuko glanced at Marie.

"I didn't do anything," he repeated stubbornly.

Marie sighed. "Want me to leave you alone?" she asked.

Zuko shrugged. "I don't care."

His response confused Marie.

"Aren't you afraid that I'll hurt you?" she asked.

He glanced at her briefly. "No."

"Your turn for the stage Woobie," Lorne said as he walked up to where Zuko was sitting. "Don't be shy kiddo! Get up there and belt out a tune!"

Zuko stared at Lorne. "Woobie?"

"Go on now!" Lorne said in a shooing motion. "Stage! You! Sing! Play! Impress me Woobie. Show me what you got!"

Zuko was shooed onto the stage. He blinked a few times, not sure what he was supposed to do. Maybe he could just get this over with quickly. So he mumbled his way through the Fire Nation National Anthem (http://www.avatarspirit.net/files/audio/Fire%20Nation%20National%20Anthem.mp3) and didn't wait to quickly get off the stage again and sit down.

"Oh Woobie," Lorne said when the song was over and done with. "Are you okay? I know it's a long way from your family and friends but if you break out of your shell a little you might get over your homesickness a little."

Zuko looked caught off guard for a moment, but quickly schooled his features and scowled at Lorne. Well, scowled even more anyway. "I don't need your advice."

"Sure thing Woobie," Lorne said as he reached out to pat Zuko on the head. "Just remember that there are plenty of students who feel the same way you do. Also? Use your diaphragm more when you sing next time. It'll help project your voice."
