Flight and Flying [Friday morning]

When the flight workshop arrived at the shed, they found it locked up tight and Anakin leaning up against it.

Wearing a beanie.

And a sullen expression, but that was kind of a given.

"For our last class," he said, "we're going to fly helicopters. The pilot's waiting for us over at Selkie Cove. Come grab a hat--and no, they're not optional--and then we'll head over together."

He even had one Faithful-sized. Anakin was thorough.

Alec was wearing his beanie and didn't seem to mind it, seeming rather impatient to be going up despite a vague look of having lately been ill.

He grinned at Molly. "I'm really going to miss this class."

"Me too," Molly said and turned to him, giving him a concerned look. "You don't look so hot. The radio said you were in the clinic. Everything okay?"

He began to nod but paused, realizing that he'd have to say something to people - blowing them off wasn't exactly the best idea, even if a part of him just wanted to do it and make it easy on himself.

It was also kind of lonely, that way.

Alec finally smiled. "Yeah, I'm good now, thanks. Might have been a prank gone wrong, I'm not sure."

Molly frowned. "Some prank, to send you to the clinic. What happened?"

He shrugged, deciding some details could still be left out. "I was taking some medicine and it got switched beforehand. It would've been a lot worse if my metabolism didn't diffuse the sedative fast enough."

Molly blinked. "Yikes. Very dangerous prank. You're fine now though? You'll be okay to fly today?"

"Hell yes," he said, nodding. "I wouldn't miss this for anything." Alec reached up and flicked his propellor, sending it twirling wildly for a few moments as he grinned at her again - though the expression was a little more predatory than silly. "Yeah, very dangerous. Whoever did it better not show up where I can get them alone."

Molly nodded. "Just don't do anything to get yourself expelled," she said, then looked over at the copter. "My turn!" She put her beanie back on. "I'm glad you're okay, Alec. I'll talk to you later."

"Have fun," he said, watching her go and going back to impatiently waiting in line for his own turn.
