Lifestyle Seminar, here today.
*studies handful -- slim handful -- of essays*
Well, Rory and Kefka had to withdraw from this class. It's a pity, but I quite understand. It's better to decide that, and tell me, than simply to drop out.
I've had written work in from Draco, Deirdre, Lily, Wallace and Hamlet. A couple of those were past the due time, but at least I've got them now.
Nothing from the rest of you.
*attempts to look stern*
*fails completely*
Lifestyle seminar for this week is now open -- if you'd like to come in and start discussing your work, I'll be interested in the thoughts that emerge.
Those of you who didn't bother to do me an essay, I hope you have some very sound reasons. Somehow I don't feel as if "a werewolf ate it" is going to be sufficient. I may be dropping some of you and announcing some vacancies on this course tomorrow.
I'll let
principalconnor have a list of those of you who aren't meeting the participation limits for the course.
[OOC (21:30 in the UK, 16:30 east coast, 13:30 west coast) - sorry, students, Mun is going to bed unwell until tomorrow. Talk amongst yourselves and I'll catch up later]

Given that you're here now, perhaps you'd like to tell us about your experience with people who are completely unlike you -- the sort of people that young Draco and his friends call "muggles".

*calms down*
I wish I knew why it did...probably built wrong in the first place. I'm looking into it though.
I hadn't heard the term 'muggle' before I came to this school. I did a little research, a little investigating and now know what it means. Muggles as I see it, are non-magic people, however I don't know if that's just non practising or non believing. You asked about our experience with people different from us; I being of absolutely no magic/scientific enhanced background or environment, I assume would be classed as a 'muggle'. And although whilst living in Los Angeles you see some pretty strange things, I haven't had much opportunity to be around magically/scientifically abled people until coming here. I must say the experience has been...interesting, if not more than a little dangerous.
It makes me all the more glad to be living off campus. (except when supporting walls collapse in your living room and you have no where to else to sleep except outside).

It's just not in here at all, and I've been over the listings several times now. Are you certain that "muggle" isn't just a made up word?

peoplesentient beings, and I was a little baffled by most of them.At the time, most of the people I met who weren't planetary engineers were ... well, were customers. So the advantages of learning what they needed were obvious.
Things were a little different after I went freelance, of course...

*as she explains everything comes out too quickly and runs together*
I'm sorry sir I, I didn't mean to but I've been sick and then I got a call from my dad and well bad things followed and I really do want to try to do this and I don't know if I can but I really want to try and I'll do my best and do you want me to drop your class?

On the other hand, you may want to take the view that assistance with your lifestyle is something that you really can't afford to drop.
No pressure from me, but if you decide you need to drop out it's as well to say so. If you decide you need not to drop out, well, the course requirements aren't onerous ... and it would be good to have you stay.

Thank you Sir I will stay. *she smiles*
