Photography Workshop [8/23]

There was a spread of pastries from J,GOB along with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the front of the classroom.

"Well, gang, this is our last workshop," Veronica said. "You've all done a great job with your pictures. Today, you can spend some time in the darkroom developing your last batch of photos. Then I want you to go through all the pictures you've taken over the last seven weeks and choose your favorite three to five to display for your classmates."

Cally walked up, ready to turn in her camera. She didn't look too happy about it, either.

Angela stops to see Veronica after the end of class. "Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for the workshop."

"I really learned so much," Angela said, then reached into her bag and pulled out a heavy, flat package. "I got you a little thank-you gift. For class, and for being a friend."

Veronica opened the package and swallowed hard. "Thank you," she said. "You didn't have to do that."

"I wanted to," Angela said simply. "It reminded me of you, somehow." She swallowed herself. "We'll see you again before you go, right?"

"I'm not leaving until Sunday night," she replied. "Tomorrow's my last night at Caritas and I'll be around all weekend."

"You guys are going to be pretty hard to forget," Veronica said. "Archie and I leave for Paris Sunday night and then fly straight back to California the following Sunday."

"I'm glad you get a vacation in there before you head home. Paris with Archie." She grinned. "I can think of much worse things. You got so lucky in him, you know. He's one of my favorite flirt-objects ever."

Veronica raised an eyebrow, but let it go. "The Paris trip was my birthday present from Marty," she explained. "And I am very aware of how lucky I am to have Archie. I dated Logan, remember?"

Alphonse really didn't want to turn in his camera, for a little more than because it was a shiny new gadget. But, it wasn't his, so. "Um, I really enjoyed the workshop."
