Nadia nodded, then finished chewing and swallowed. "You seem hangover free,"

Pippi shrugged.

"It's a Scandinavian thing I guess."

"The Chef has been hungover. I think it's a Pippi Longstocking thing."

Pippi shrugged noncommittally and took a bite of her sandwich.

Nadia poked at her second sandwich for a moment.

". . . you're a pretty good kisser."

D'oh!

"... I was pretending you were somebody else." she said. "No offence."

"I figured. Pip's lucky."

"... How long are you supposed to wait before... Ya know... Something else happens?"

"There isn't really a rule for that. Just when both people are ready for it, really. Have you guys set up another date?"

"No." she said. "I mean, we had lunch the other day because I asked him to help me with stuff for my Lying class thingy. But... I don't know that counts. Does it count?""

"Did you kiss?"

"...No."

"Hold hands?"

Pippi shook her head.

"Do anything that might indicate you're more than just friends?"

"I told him I had fun on our date and I hoped we could have another when I called him?"

"And what did he say?"

"...He didn't address that part of the message."

"Hm. Then I'm thinking lunch was not a date, but any time spent together is still a good thing."

"I have no idea what I'm doing."

"If it makes you feel better, few people do. And Pip probably has even less of an idea."

"That is oddly encouraging." she said with a small smile.

Nadia smiled a bit back. "Dating isn't an exact science. Everyone's different."

Pippi's smile got a little sly.
