"I took it as a good sign yes." she nodded.

Pippi twirled her index finger in the air and whispered.

"Yippy."

Nadia raised her glass of water.

Pippi toasted back with her soup spoon.

Nadia tried not to flinch too much.

Guh, soup.

"You okay?" she asked.

"Soup. Guh."

"Do you not like tomatoes?"

"Not always tomatos."

"Ooooooookay."

"Yesterday. At Cafe Fina. Wadsworth. Soup. Not tomato."

"I thought I smelled Spicy Cantonese Soup. Did it have monkey brains innit?"

Nadia might have turned a bit green. "Apparently."

Pippi shrugged.

"I've got nothing against using the whole animal, but I don't tend to like dishes with brain... I don't like the texture. Though I did have moose brain in scrambled eggs in Alaska once. That was good."

Nadia gagged ever so slightly. "Can we change the subject?"

She'd be better at dealing with this were she not still a bit hungover.

"Green, Red, and Bell peppers aren't peppers. They're actually chilies."

"But they're not spicy."

"I don't think heat is a defining factor of if something is a pepper or a chile."

"Then what is?"

"Being related to nightshade I think..."

"You confuse me."

"You wouldn't be the first."
