“All right guys. We have three meetings left, and thus it is time to start. Think of what sort of piece of Jewelry you are going to make, and plan it out. Let me know what materials you may need that are not in those cabinets over there. Try to think of everything, though I know it is difficult.”

She paused and walked around the room looking at the students.

“The workstations are available for you to work at. Feel free to talk amongst yourselves about your ideas.”

"Okay, seriously, I do not want to be here this morning." John was about half a second from putting his head down and sleeping through the workshop when he was poked by a small metal-y creature about the size of a pocketwatch standing at his elbows.

"hookay, fine." Everything after that was sort of an unintelligible grumble of annoyance and sleepy frustration as John started rifiling through what was left the selection of jewels and mountings and such.

There was a wee!tiny dingbot peeking out of his shirt pocket and waving.

"Caffeine? It's this great substance. Mana of the gods. Working ingredient in coffee, tea, and sodas that makes you not sleep."

He looked at the shirtpocket dingbot for a minute. "Y'know, I don't think I named it last night. Or him. Or her. Do dingbots have genders?"
