Library [08/15]

Rory hurried into the library bright and early, and settled herself behind the desk with her laptop.

She spent a little time looking up sonnets, since it had been awhile since she'd read her favorites anyway, then left that open in a tab.

If anyone came along, you see, she could switch to it quickly from the Wendy the Werewolf Stalker fic she was reading.

"If I'm ever kidnapped, you're more than welcome to come get me," she offered, smiling slightly, "and it's a hurt I'm willing to take."

Sam smiled lightly. "If you're ever kidnapped, you'd better be prepared for a first class Winchester rescue, because that's what you're going to get. But you've got a point - we might not even need to resort to the last option, until we know what it is we're dealing with."

"So how do we find that out?" Dawn frowned.

"Good question," Sam admitted, sighing softly. "Have you managed to figure anything about the knife?"

"There were some symbols engraved into the blade, but I can't figure out exactly what language they're in," Dawn sighed, frustrated by her lack of progress. "Which means I don't know what they mean and what they do."

"Okay. Well, between that, and trying to figure out exactly what's caused Dean to disappear, we've got two places to start. Do you want me to try to look at the knife? I wasn't exactly examining it closely yesterday."

"Yeah," she handed it to him, hilt first. "Don't touch the blade, just in case. I'm not positive it was a one time only spell."
