Arts & Crafts Workshop #6, Camp Dining Hall, 08.14.06, Afternoon

[OOC: As is common at this point, little to nothing from me during the day. Ping in the "Talk to Tick" thread if you need me. Workshop Info Post!]

"With just one more week before our final workshop, I thought it would be nice to arm you all for your futures here in Fandom. What I'm about to give each of you is a great weapon, perhaps one of the most powerful tools ever forged by man!"

The Tick pulled a large box out from under the front table. Opening the box up, he pulled out a three foot long plastic spoon. "SPOOOOOOOON! The mighty spoon! Utensil for eating! Metaphor for Justice! Is there anything it can't do? Of course there is! It can't not be a spoon, for one, which is something you won't be doing with it this afternoon. What you will be doing is personalizing a spoon for yourself using any and all of your decorative skills and the materials available at the front of the room! Paint, glitter, tinsel, fabric... anything you need should be up here!"

"This week for your scrapbooks, we're focusing on a certain phrase: 'you can't judge a book by it's cover.' While it's a reasonable saying for many things, it doesn't count in scrapbooks. In scrapbooking, the cover is the outer extension of everything that's inside! The cover should be as much a piece of art as anything on the inside. Mine is a simple blue, but if you look carefully you'll see a really keen antennae pattern in it. You don't have to get that detailed, but we need something for the front of the book that says your name in a non-literal fashion!"

"Remember, since next week will be our final workshop, you'll be turning in your scrapbooks at the beginning of the afternoon, then we'll be displaying your work!"

Jamie might be looking like his withdrawn from the rest of the group. Or actually might be trying to avoid someone in particular.

The one time Molly happened to glance in Jamie's direction, she glared at him.

Jamie managed to not "Eep" in front of the whole workshop.

Swallowing hard, Jamie walked over to where Molly was sitting.

"Molly? I'm very sorry for what happened on Saturday," he began, "From my point of view I was just... I don't know. But it was wrong of me to do that too you and I hope that you can forgive me. Someday."

Molly didn't look at him. "How sorry are you?"

"Ex-treme-ly sorry," Jamie groveled.

"And do you understand why I was not happy to find out I was on a date with one of your duplicates?" Molly still didn't look at him.

"Yes I do," Jamie said nodding emphatically. "Which is why I'm here apologizing."

"Then I'll probably forgive you when I'm done being mad," Molly said, continuing to focus on her scrapbook.

"Then I'll just be over there," Jamie said meekly. "Just out of arms reach."

Before heading over to said spot, Jamie left a small sock puppet which was pint with an exquisite hat on it's head by Molly scrapbook.

Molly left the puppet sitting there while she worked on her scrapbook, but she did take it with her when the class was over.
