Game, FH Gym, 1 p.m. FHT

The gym was ready for the game assuming nothing crazy happened during detention, with a shiny floor, clean new nets, and two perfect basketballs lolling about. Everything was ready for the rematch between the blue and gold gremlins. Last time, gold had eked out a victory; this time, it was anyone's game.

Play ball.

[OOC: Wait for OCD. This post is open throughout the day; a post for the second half will be made when we're ready for it.]

Susan is here to cheer on her brother. She's also looking around for Willow, hoping she's invested in making another handkerchief.

Peter saw Su in the stands and saluted her. It wasn't exactly like a tournament, but it was amusingly close.

Susan waved back, noting which team Peter was on, and also seeing Willow helping out at the bench. Well, this ought to be entertaining.

Following Susan's glance, Peter shook his head and blushed slightly. She may not have noticed yet that Willow's shirt read something about The Fourth Sin, but he was sure she'd pick up on that eventually.

Susan sent Peter a look of mingled "what?!" and "Good god" after she saw Willow's shirt, eyes wide. She didn't point, but looking from Willow to Peter and back probably made it clear what had her rather... confused.

Peter rolled his eyes and glanced towards GOB then back at Willow and Blair. Hopefully the implication was close to clear. Maybe.

Susan frowned, unsure of what Peter was attempting to communicate, but beginning to have an inkling. Perhaps talking to Willow would clear up the confusion.

Willow saw Susan in the stands and gave her a friendly wave.

Susan saw what was written Willow's shirt, and stopped in mid-wave to stare. "Good lord." She waved again, a bit more weakly than before.

Willow, oblivious to any problems with her shirt, frowned worriedly at her hankerchief, thinking maybe Susan didn't approve.

Recovering, Susan waved once more, and made a mental note to have another Little Talk with Peter. And possibly Willow. Possibly, at the same time. Because really.

Willow waved back, still looking worried.

Right, then. At a break in the action, with Peter not doing anything on the court, Susan made her way down the bleachers and walked over to Willow. "Hello, Willow. Why aren't you in the stands?" And why are you advertising for the 4th Sin?

"I got detention," Willow said. "For no reason whatsoever! Apparently my name got thrown into the lottery."

[identity profile] susanofnarnia.livejournal.com 2006-07-29 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh dear. I do think that's a very unfair practice," Susan said with sympathy. "So, you're here as part of your detention?" She kept her eyes away from the shirt. There really was no good way to broach the subject....

Willow nodded. "I had to help pick balls and make a speech and listen to a really long whistle and now I'm stuck helping out the wrong team."

"I'm so sorry. You can't switch?" Susan looked around for the coach, but didn't see him nearby. "And at least you're not missing Peter's game, but it's very unfair to you."

"My transcripts!" Willow said, looking woeful. "No college is going to want to touch me now!"

Re: Audience, 1st Half

[identity profile] susanofnarnia.livejournal.com 2006-07-29 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"That can't possibly be right," Susan said firmly. "It's a unique circumstance of this school, and surely they'd let you explain in the college interview. Truly, Willow. Speak with Principal Washburn about it, if you need to."

Finally unable to stand it any longer, Susan just has to ask. "About your shirt...."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-07-29 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
"I got it from Mr. GOB," Willow said. "I don't know where he found it, or if I'm supposed to keep it when we're done."

Re: Audience, 1st Half

[identity profile] susanofnarnia.livejournal.com 2006-07-29 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
"Really." Susan's lips firmed. "Was wearing that a condition of your Detention? And you're-- well. You're fine with that?"

Re: Audience, 1st Half

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-07-29 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Willow nodded. "He had a whole selection for us to choose from. This seemed the best of the bunch since at least it's true. You don't want to know the mean things he said about turtles."

Re: Audience, 1st Half

[identity profile] susanofnarnia.livejournal.com 2006-07-29 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Susan boggled, speechless for a moment. "Well, yes. I simply... well. That's very open-minded of you, Willow. And I think I need to have a little talk with Mr. GOB at some point. He can't be allowed to be cruel to turtles with no provocation." She paused a moment, arrested. "Turtles?"

Re: Audience, 1st Half

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-07-29 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Willow nodded. "He's very prejudiced against them. Which is horrible considering that Shelby's endangered."

Re: Audience, 1st Half

[identity profile] susanofnarnia.livejournal.com 2006-07-29 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
"Shelby." Really, talking to Willow should come with annotations. "Is a turtle, I'm assuming? And why would Mr. Bluth be prejudiced against them? That makes very little sense."

Then again, so did Willow's T-shirt. Perhaps the man had been imbibing his own stock for too long.
