Game, FH Gym, 1 p.m. FHT

The gym was ready for the game assuming nothing crazy happened during detention, with a shiny floor, clean new nets, and two perfect basketballs lolling about. Everything was ready for the rematch between the blue and gold gremlins. Last time, gold had eked out a victory; this time, it was anyone's game.

Play ball.

"I can explain it," Veronica said. "It's not that hard." She noticed Nadia in her gremlin outfit. "There's Nadia," she told Archie, pointing.

"She's the mascot," Veronica explained. "Granted, I'm not entirely sure why gremlins are our mascot since they're vile little creatures."

"I suppose," Veronica said as the whistle blew and she watched Nadia double over (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/956873.html?thread=50458313#t50458313). She stood up and watched in horror as Nadia appeared to turn into a gremlin. "Oh no."

"I almost want to go after her, but I really don't want to get bit," Veronica said.

Veronica grinned. "Piper and I got dressed in leather and went to Caritas. She danced on the bar and I sang a really sexy song and gave a bunch of lapdances."

"Yeah, it was this leather bikini thing. I don't even know where I got it," Veronica said.

Nadia was for some reason drawn to these two sets of ankles. She popped her head out from under the bleachers and chittered at them excitedly.

She might have been asking where the kid with the cricket bat was.

Archie jumped at the chittering sound and squeezed Veronica's hand tightly.

"I think she found us."

With leather bikinis in mind, it was entirely debatable as to whether he considered this a bad idea at the moment.

Veronica quickly pulled her legs up and peered down at Nadia with great concern. "Nadia?" she said. "Can you understand me?"

Archie shot an alarmed look at Nadia. "I'd really prefer if you didn't, Nadia."

The conviction in his voice was, perhaps, lacking just a bit.

After shooting Archie a confused look, Veronica glared at Nadia. "No biting me," she said sternly. "Go find Marty if you want to bite someone."

Nadia chittered at Archie questioningly, then peered silently up at Veronica with big, sad, gremlin-y eyes.

She couldn't find the boy with the cricket bat, yet! She would not be the best gremlin she could be until she bit him!

"You heard her," Archie told Nadia, resignedly. "She'd really prefer not to be bitten."

The big, sad, gremlin-y eyes were making him feel bad, though. "I'm sorry I can't find Marty for you."

"Oh, I think he's over there," she gestured vaguely because his player isn't online yet.
