Game, FH Gym, 1 p.m. FHT

The gym was ready for the game assuming nothing crazy happened during detention, with a shiny floor, clean new nets, and two perfect basketballs lolling about. Everything was ready for the rematch between the blue and gold gremlins. Last time, gold had eked out a victory; this time, it was anyone's game.

Play ball.

"We played games in the Underworld," Bel confirmed. "But we used our powers. It was a lot more violent."

"Glad to have it behind me, yeah," Bel said. "Not a life I want to go back to." He managed a smile. "High school is more fun without a body count."

"Body counts are definitely bad," Cally said. "Even with all the stuff that happens, it's really a pretty charmed life here, don't you think?"

"Charmed indeed," Bel murmured, looking over at where Phoebe was cheering. "Could be worse. We could be stuck with boring lives in some boring world."

"There was wishful thinking," Bel admitted. "I would have liked to have seen it." Then a gremlin went for his ankle.

Bel peered at his ankle. "Yeah, but I don't feel any different," he said, inspecting the bite. "Maybe I'm immune."

He nodded. "I've been lucky so far." He seemed antsy, like he was having trouble staying still.
