Festivus in July, Fandom High front lawn, Friday afternoon

Sometime during morning workshops, when no one was paying nearly enough attention except those concerned, the Fandom High schoolgrounds had filled with snow.

For the record, "those concerned" meant Rory Gilmore and several dozen snow cone distributors from the mainland. But who wants to ruin the illusion? Students who were curious might assume that it was simply a Festivus in July miracle, or some such.

In the middle of the lawn stood a bare, aluminum pole. Festivus tradition, you know.

[Yes, the schoolgrounds have snow. I'm weathermodding and saying it's cool enough today through this evening for it to stick, and it'll melt overnight. And yes, we're having Festivus in July. For those not in the know, here is a handy Wiki link! Please wait for OCD. Up, yay!]

"By all of one inch." Broots shot back with a grin and then mock-pouted. "And I was there first!"

"That's an inch I could be using for...well, probably just dirty clothes." Blair laughed. "Any other grievances? I'm short? Too handsome? You don't like the fact that I play muskrat love loudly late at night?"

"This is Fandom, man. You are low on the totem pole of craziness." Blair grinned. "Besides, I'm just happy to have my roommate back, you could dye your hair green and dance around the room in your underwear and I'd still be happy to see you!"

"No worries, man. Do you know how much hair dye I'd have to buy to turn this mess green? So not in my budget."

Broots looked at Blair's hair. "Yeah, you'd need at least two packages. There's probably girls who'd kill for your hair, you know."

"Yeah, I know. Someone once told me that girls would love to run their fingers through it too...but I'm not really beating off the girls with a stick." Blair shrugged.
