First Aid II, Danger Shop, Tuesday morning, 7/25

Elliot was pouting a little as she stood at the front of the mostly-dark Danger Shop. "Hi. For some reason, the frickin' computers will not do anything for me this week, so we're going to kick it old-school for this class session.

"First off? I have some stuff I probably should have given you your first week. Here is a first-aid kit and a manual. Use them, love them carry them around with you, et cetera. Your job is to look through the kits and find one thing that you don't know how to use or haven't used before, and figure out a situation in which you would need that thing.

"After that, we're going to play a game called A Progressive Story. I've divided you into two groups, and I'll start a story for each of you. You should each add a few sentences talking about a new injury or how to treat it. If someone gets stumped or suggests a bad treatment, they're out. The winner is the last person to keep the story going.

"Next week we should cover animal bites. Assuming I can get the shop working by then."

[OOC: Mod the contents of your first aid bags within reason. In the story, there's no need to keep pings in a specific order, though I hope everyone will get to contribute. And as ever, I'm on SP after 1:30 EDT.]

Peter listened carefully and attempted to catch Elliot's eye after class. He'd been meaning to speak to her for a few weeks and finally remembered while he was actually in class.

"Sort of, Dr. Reid," Peter said. "A few weeks ago some of us were discussing that really everyone here should have some sort of first aid training given how often injuries occur. Like some sort of orientation for the new students in the fall. Do you think that might be something that would work?"

"It's because we're very careful," Peter said dryly. And inaccurately. "And other than Rory's mom, one has to assume that no one's parents are ever told about life at Fandom."

Not that he knew about Kitty Pryde either.

"I think something like that would be logical. Just maybe the very basics we can learn to help stabilise someone long enough to get them to the clinic." Peter considered. "Well, I suppose we're learning the very basics in here, but...just enough that we don't accidentally hurt someone more?"

Peter grinned. "I think I'm lucky that I don't have that problem. But I hope the suggestion can help. If you need any assistance carrying stuff or organising or whatever, feel free to call upon me."

Walter waited for his opportunity to talk to the doctor as well, intending to remind her of their talk last week at Caritas.

"Yes, please." He smiled. "I didn't forget."

"Thank you, Dr. Reid," Walter said, taking the folder. "I'll read them over this week." Just as soon as his lenses came in and he could read without a headache.

Isabel took a seat to listen to Dr. Reid. Yes, that really is a goofy grin on her face.

"Helloooo?" Parker asked, smiling in amusement. "You're in a good mood."

"I am," she smiled. "Life is good."

"So you haven't been gremlin-bit, or tasting any special brownies, life is just-- good?" Parker raised her eyebrows and grinned. "Glad to hear it. Any particular reason?"

"You didn't hear radio?" she asked. "I got a nice surprise yesterday."

Parker's smile widened. "Noooo, I missed it. What kind of surprise?"

"There was skywriting," Isabel grinned. "In the sky."

"I'm glad it wasn't on the lawn?" Parker offered, grin undiminished. "What did it saaaaay?" Although she's able to guess, based on Isabel's reaction.

"Oh!" Her eyes got wide. "That's an idea. Thank you! As for what it said," Isabel looked down and smiled. "There was a G, and an I, and a heart. You figure out the order."

Parker grinned. "Creative and sweet. Which almost makes up for your guy's self-destructive tendencies, I have to say."

"He combined the two," she told her, still vaguely surprised. "Guess who did the actual skywriting."
