First Aid II, Danger Shop, Tuesday morning, 7/25

Elliot was pouting a little as she stood at the front of the mostly-dark Danger Shop. "Hi. For some reason, the frickin' computers will not do anything for me this week, so we're going to kick it old-school for this class session.

"First off? I have some stuff I probably should have given you your first week. Here is a first-aid kit and a manual. Use them, love them carry them around with you, et cetera. Your job is to look through the kits and find one thing that you don't know how to use or haven't used before, and figure out a situation in which you would need that thing.

"After that, we're going to play a game called A Progressive Story. I've divided you into two groups, and I'll start a story for each of you. You should each add a few sentences talking about a new injury or how to treat it. If someone gets stumped or suggests a bad treatment, they're out. The winner is the last person to keep the story going.

"Next week we should cover animal bites. Assuming I can get the shop working by then."

[OOC: Mod the contents of your first aid bags within reason. In the story, there's no need to keep pings in a specific order, though I hope everyone will get to contribute. And as ever, I'm on SP after 1:30 EDT.]

"I am," she smiled. "Life is good."

"So you haven't been gremlin-bit, or tasting any special brownies, life is just-- good?" Parker raised her eyebrows and grinned. "Glad to hear it. Any particular reason?"

"You didn't hear radio?" she asked. "I got a nice surprise yesterday."

Parker's smile widened. "Noooo, I missed it. What kind of surprise?"

"There was skywriting," Isabel grinned. "In the sky."

"I'm glad it wasn't on the lawn?" Parker offered, grin undiminished. "What did it saaaaay?" Although she's able to guess, based on Isabel's reaction.

"Oh!" Her eyes got wide. "That's an idea. Thank you! As for what it said," Isabel looked down and smiled. "There was a G, and an I, and a heart. You figure out the order."

Parker grinned. "Creative and sweet. Which almost makes up for your guy's self-destructive tendencies, I have to say."

"He combined the two," she told her, still vaguely surprised. "Guess who did the actual skywriting."

Parker went through a list of people who could fly in Fandom, and frowned. "How the hell did he talk Skywalker into doing it? Unless it was Aeryn, in which case, same question."

"I have no idea," Isabel said, shaking her head. "And I'm afraid to ask. I guess this means I need to make Anakin brownies or something. Because it was sweet of him to do it."

"Very," Parker said, desert-dry. "Especially considering Greg was telling him he wanted to be a Jedi. Or rather, a Jed's Eye. I may stop worrying about him, if he can turn that kind of approach into an appeal for skywriting later, and have it work out." She grinned. "And again, sweet. No wonder you're thrilled."

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-07-26 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
"He wanted to be a Jed's Eye?" Isabel facepalmed. "He very briefly told me something about that the one time I got a chance to call from Roswell. I'm surprised he was alive when I got back." She rolled her eyes, "And then he goes and does something so sweet. I'm not sure to kiss him or kill him the next time I see him."

"The Radio was marveling that he escaped unscathed. Hard to miss." She grinned. "Sure sign of deeper feelings: the urge to kill. I'm so happy for you."

NFB please....

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-07-26 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, they might be deeper." She blushed and bit her lip. "I never thought I'd feel like this about someone."

Parker rested her hand on her chin, and her smile softened a trifle. "What, never? Ever? Then I'm doubly glad it's happening for you. It's going well?"

Re: NFB please....

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-07-26 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
"It just didn't seem like something I'd have a chance at. Not with everything else. But, surprise." Isabel smiled brightly, "It's going really, really well. We had a nice day after the sky writing"

Re: NFB please....

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-07-26 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
"What did you guys do? ANything in particular?" Parker asked idly.

Re: NFB please....

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-07-26 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
"There was movie watching...," she said, her face growing red.

Re: NFB please....

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-07-26 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
"Oooohoooooo." Parker's eyes lit up. "*That* kind of date. Reeeeally. Yay!" She grinned wickedly. "May I assume the Volkswagon got out of park?"

Re: NFB please....

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-07-26 01:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Isabel facepalmed before double checking to make sure no one was listening to them. "I'm not sure how the metaphor works," she laughed, still hiding her face in her hand. "I might have started the engine, but I wasn't cruising down the highway."

Re: NFB please....

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-07-26 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yay!" Parker said very quietly, hiding a smile behind one hand. "And it's all... running well, at this point?"

Re: NFB please....

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-07-26 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
"Very well," Isabel said. "For now. Remember, he's only here for the summer."

Re: NFB please....

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-07-26 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Parker sobered. "I forgot about that part. And it sucks." It really, really did. "But I'm very glad you have something, even if it's just for now."

"There's some hope. He told me before I left that he was going to see about staying. But he hasn't said anything since, and I don't want to push, you know?" She tried to smile as she said it, but it didn't make it all the way. "For now though, you're right. It's something. Something pretty nice."
