Basketball Practice - Sunday Morning - Gym

Promising Tyler that he'd set up the gym for basketball practice was quite possibly the only thing that would have gotten Peter back in the gym so soon.  

But, steadfastly ignoring the fact that yesterday he'd been dancing and singing on the bleachers, Peter set up the balls and practice mats and started shooting baskets from the three-point line.   He wasn't making too many, but he was concentrating very hard.

[OOC: OCD is up.  Go west, young man, and practice.  Or just practice.]

Peter facepalmed. "I haven't listened to it. Was it very bad?"

"It was," Cameron nodded and tried to look sympathetic. It night not be working much. "Lots of talk about pink jackets and singing and people making out with the wrong people. To be honest, it might have been too much information to make sense of it all."

"I don't think there was any sense to be made," Peter said, his face still covered. "There was all of that going on and more. I think my accent even became American." Yeah, he was counting that last one as important.

"Really? Weird," he shook his head. "I'm not sure if I'm grateful or sad that I missed it. Did someone get it on camera?"

"Grateful," Peter said, nodding vigorously. "I have a list of people to apologise to. And I'm pretty sure. Zack had a camera and there were cameras all over the dance contest ."

Cameron paused his stretches to stare at Peter, not sure if he heard that right. "Did you just say what I think you said?"

Snorting, Cameron shook his head. "I think I don't need to see that one."

"No one does. Ever," Peter said firmly. "I thought I was some kid from New Jersey called Doody. He was an idiot."

"It probably wasn't," Cameron pointed out. "At least, that's the easiest way to not give yourself too much of a complex."

"That's a sound plan," Peter said with a grin. "I'm going to adopt it. And perhaps use it as an excuse."

"Don't see why it wouldn't work," Cameron grinned. "It's happened enough around Fandom that people aren't exactly themselves," he said, sounding more wistful now.

"There's been enough stuff going on around here to make people behave not exactly like themselves. Gremlin bites or cafeteria food for one," he bit his lip. "Or Psycho teachers who mindwhammy their students and alien possession... You name it."

"Sounds...interesting," Peter said. "I'm not so particularly a fan, and this 'strangeness' was mainly embarrassing."

"Fandom High and embarrassing go hand in hand," Cameron pointed out. "It could have been worst and by the sound of it, a lot of people are probably as ambarrassed as you right now."

"I would prefer not to have Willow try to kill me or them?" Peter offered. He grinned. "We should probably get back to practice because my mun's going to dinner or no one's going to win next Saturday."
