Basketball Practice - Sunday Morning - Gym

Promising Tyler that he'd set up the gym for basketball practice was quite possibly the only thing that would have gotten Peter back in the gym so soon.

But, steadfastly ignoring the fact that yesterday he'd been dancing and singing on the bleachers, Peter set up the balls and practice mats and started shooting baskets from the three-point line. He wasn't making too many, but he was concentrating very hard.

Tyler's around till 1:30EDT than SP. Peter should be around most of the day.

GOB was here. "Okay, team! We have a game on Saturday. Remember, play hard, foul hard, try to pick up a cheerleader or two. Keep that in mind as you practice."

No singing today.

Because that's the way the world ends.

Cameron signed in.

Cameron started off with some stretches. After hearing the radio, he was half expecting someone to come in and start singing. Maybe a muppet choir.

... There had better be an OOC thread to the apocalypse, just so we know when it's over.

Tyler signed in.

Peter nodded to Cameron when he came in. Because he didn't remember seeing him around yesterday so just maybe the craziness passed him right by.

Tyler stretched near Cam, remembering he needed to ask about the teams. "Hey."

"What if we're already dating a cheerleader?" Tyler asked.

"Pick up another one. It's even more fun that way," GOB said.

That advice was not exactly a surprise, somehow.

"I'll ask River about that," Tyler promised, turning so the coach wouldn't see him roll his eyes.

After doughnuts by the campfire (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/723260.html), Isabel decided to hit the gym to work off said doughnuts. She chuckled briefly when she saw who was there before heading over to the mats to stretch.

"Good man," GOB said. "Check first. That's not the kind of thing you should assume. But it works best if you check while she's drunk!"

When Peter saw Isabel come in, he mentally facepalmed but figured he could cross one person off his 'apology needed' list. Approaching her, face bright red (it was the basketball, of course), he nodded and said. "I owe you quite a few apologies, Isabel."

This is what I'm saying.

Tyler knew he shouldn't bother answering, and yet ... "I don't think she drinks."

"Nonsense," Isabel said, smiling at him. "You weren't yourself. Besides, Doody was sweet, even if he did call me doll."

"Doody." Peter literally facepalmed. "No, he was an idiot. He thought that was the height of sophistication."

"There's always a first time," GOB said. "Just keep trying and good luck."

"I promise, I was not offended or insulted," she said sympathetically. "I even enjoyed dancing. I just wonder about our date. That might take some explaining."
