Basketball Practice - Sunday Morning - Gym

Promising Tyler that he'd set up the gym for basketball practice was quite possibly the only thing that would have gotten Peter back in the gym so soon.

But, steadfastly ignoring the fact that yesterday he'd been dancing and singing on the bleachers, Peter set up the balls and practice mats and started shooting baskets from the three-point line. He wasn't making too many, but he was concentrating very hard.

"I promise, I was not offended or insulted," she said sympathetically. "I even enjoyed dancing. I just wonder about our date. That might take some explaining."

Peter blushed very, very dark red. "I am so sorry. I don't know how I'm going to begin to explain this to Willow. I shall apologise to Greg as well."

"It was Fandom weirdness, so no apology is necessary," Isabel insisted. "As for Greg and Willow, I think it'll be okay if we bring them along."

"If you say so," Peter said, frowning slightly. He would have been much more comfortable with having an apology accepted. "That would be fun though. We should definitely do that."

"I promise. I was highly amused by the whole situation. It made me smile, so you did a good thing," Isabel promised. "And we will all have to go out together one night. It would be lots of fun."

"Well, as long as you were amused," Peter replied, trying not to grin. "We all must have been a sight to see between the dancing and the singing and the hair." He made a face.

"Very, very amused," she grinned. "I don't think I've seen that much grease in one place since I took our Jeep in for an oil change."

Peter ran a hand through his hair. "I almost feel sorry for the pipes last night and this morning with so much of it draining away. I remember my dad using oil for his hair, but not THAT much. That was...impressive." He remembered something else and facepalmed again. "I told Zack I was going to beat him up today."

"Much more and we'd wind up with some sort of enviromental disaster," she chuckled. "You were pretty fiesty. You mentioned kicking someone's ass. Which was a definite sign of you not being you. But why would you want to beat up Zack?"

"Because he was a geek," Peter said through his fingers. "And he was filming us at the races. So Doody took offence."

"And T-Birds were tough guys. Yes, that makes a certain kind of sense." Isabel grinned and patted Peter's shoulder, "There's video of the rickshaw race?"

"It does, I suppose. I watched Peter Griffin give Tyler a wedgie too which...was one of the more amusing things. Wonder if Tyler is going to want revenge," Peter said. Then he looked torn between horrified and amused. "Yes, apparently there is. Wonder if Dawn's frying pan is on tape somewhere."

"I saw Tyler this morning. He wasn't to thrilled with yesterday either. But I don't think he wants revenge," she said. "I hope so, I guess she thought she'd literally knock him back to his senses."

"If anyone was thrilled about yesterday, I'd like to try to knock the sense back into them!" Peter said with a grin. "And was a good thought. Plus hilarious though I was upset at the time."

"I'm not thrilled, I'm more amused and oh so grateful I didn't have a cookie," Isabel laughed. "I really don't blame her. It sounds like he deserved it."

"Is that what caused it all?" asked Peter who'd not listened to the radio last night. "I thought it was some sort of spell or something, I suppose. And he certainly did. I rather hope no one else decides to take Dawn's approach though." He rubbed the back of his head protectively.

"He didn't know her when he saw her yesterday morning. At all," she explained. "She was pretty upset when I saw her afterwards."

"I could imagine," Peter said, thinking that he was almost glad Willow had been in bed all day and unable to be hurt by him being stupid. "Poor girl."

"I'm sure she got some satisfaction out of thumping him with a frying pan," Isabel said with a smirk. "Hopefully they'll make up today."

"I've heard frying pans are greatly satisfying objects," Peter said with a grin. "First you can get your aggravations out, then cook breakfast."

"Multi-purpose is always useful. My friend Maria's mom beat the hell out of Michael with a newspaper when she found him in Maria's room one morning," Isabel said with a laugh. "He was afraid of her for a long time after that."

"I would think so! Though, to be honest, he probably deserved it getting caught." Peter looked a bit shocked at himself. "Not that...it would be...this school is affecting me."

"He had a good reason for being there," Isabel said with a small smile. "But getting caught did make things a little more difficult for him."

"It usually does," Peter said dryly.

"Particularly with Amy Deluca." Isabel climbed to her feet. "Well I'd better let you get back to practice. I'm going to hit the trainer to work off this mornings doughnuts. I'll see you around?"
