Careers Fair, Fandom High Front Lawn, Friday Afternoon, 07/21/06

By lunch time, the booths were set up, the guests had arrived and there was quaint music playing from somewhere undetermined. Hawkeye is walking around with one of those portable microphone/speaker set-ups, roaming from booth to booth announcing the various guests that have come to Fandom to talk about their professions.

And despite what the mainland weather forecast said, it was definitely a nice, fine day.

"Our weatherman Brick Tamland was nice enough to donate those mustaches." explains Ron "I didn't ask him what they were made of. He's killed a few guys so I'm guessing it might be from them. News casting can be very dangerous."

Ron smiled and laughed a very forced laugh. "I'm kidding. As far as you know."

Hamlet nods, and starts putting the 'stache down.

"I have have to pass on these. I suppose I may not be man enough to wear a mustache of this caliber."

"You're a good man to admit it." says Ron "Maybe you can be a weatherman. You can read a map can't you?"

Ron wasn't sure that reading a map was necessary either. Brick once pointed to Texas and said that it was Candyland.

"Oh yes, I'm far better at reading maps that I am with mustaches. Is there much of a career for weathermen, even with a lack of facial hair aptitude?"

"Oh heck yes!" exclaims Ron "A weatherman is an important part of the news team. I wish I brought Brick with me. Well, I did, but he's in the car. Can't exactly leave him anywhere on his own."

"Don't worry, I left the window open a crack."

"That's very good of you. You wouldn't wish for him to get heat stroke while you were in here, informing us inquisitive students of the wonders of telejournalism."

He pauses. "Although if he did pass out, I would be able to get some first-hand insight into what it would be like to be a weatherman."
