Language Classes Friday

Good morning.

If you're planning to attend the film during lab hours, please come as close to the hour as you can. I'd like to start the film right away.

There has been some issues regarding keeping track of assignments. I will post your assignments at [livejournal.com profile] game_of_you every day. You can also email me if you have any questions, and I am available during lab hours and office hours.

Perhaps even when you're sleeping as well.

However, most of the time your assignments will be: study your vocabulary and practice with your classmates.

If you have not signed up for your in-class presentation, do so today.

I will post current class rosters later today. Please let me know as soon as possible if you wish to add or drop. Students who have not attended any classes by the end of today will be dropped.

[ooc: mun's employers have decided to make use of me today. will not be available much until later. class interaction is good when studying a language--fake it however you like.]

Charlie takes the quiz, doing much better in the Latin than the Greek.

Max takes the quiz. The Latin, he can do pretty okay on, but the Greek is totally unfathomable. He tries to think of Greek words for things, and all he can remember are food names and lines from My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

His Greek sentences are fragments and seem to be about dinner.

His Latin sentences sound conspicuously like state mottos.

Isaac drops his books into the slot under his desk and sits down, pulling out a sheet of paper and writing down his answers.

Sonia finds her seat and starts the quiz, finishing the Latin bits up in less than five minutes. The Greek translations take up most of the remaining time, and she's probably messed up one or two of the verb tenses, but she finishes with few minutes to spare and hands in her quiz.

[OOC: Thomasina is actually in class, etc, etc. I've just been out of contact for the past three days.]

Thomasina slides into what has become her usual seat at her usual time. Reading the instructions written on the board, she pulls out a sheet of foolscap and begins neatly writing out the required answers. The vocabulary all comes easily to her, as do the Latin sentences; the Greek ones take a bit more effort, but she is not displeased with what she has written when she passes her paper in.
