Basketball Practice, Gym, Sunday Morning

Tyler is moving a little stiffly this morning, thanks to a certain spar with someone who kicked. Hard. And hit. Also hard.

But it's Sunday morning, so he's in the gym for practice. He's lined up practice mats and balls and is trying to dribble left-handed.

He's getting better at it.

[OOC: OCD is up. Go forth and practice. I'll be around until about 1 p.m. EST, and then slowplay as usual.]

Zack signed in.

Or, y'know, just warm up.

And stretching well seemed to be the name of the game today. Afterwards he grabbed a ball and tried some dribbling drills. Not that the sound of the ball smacking against the gym floor seemed incredibly loud this morning or anything.

Tyler beckoned Peter over for a "conversation."

He had a notepad and everything.

Peter nodded to Tyler as he went over to him. Good morning he mouthed.

"Morning," Tyler mouthed back, and then shyly looked at his notepad.

Could you do me a favor?, he scrawled.

Of course, Peter wrote back, underlining it for emphasis. What?

Tyler raised an eyebrow at Peter. Want to co-captain? I could use a hand.

Which...wasn't the request Peter had anticipated given the demon and silent situation of the weekend. He glanced at Tyler questioningly then shrugged. Sure. What do you need me to do? He paused then wrote. We're on the same team. That going to be a problem?

Yeah, it was a little random to be thinking about this in the midst of demon attacks, but no time like the present, right?

He shrugged and wrote, Open practice every other week. Get to the gym, set out the balls, all of that. Help me pick the drills. The coach is... Tyler hesitated, pen over the paper. busy, he finally wrote.

He tapped his pen on the paper, thinking about the squads. Yeah. We should change out. I could go on gold and send John or Cam over. Think they'd mind being split?

Peter snickered, then crossed out busy and inserted crazy.

Sounds good, he wrote. Perhaps we could set up a midweek pickup game or some such as well. He thought about the squads as well. I don't think they'd mind too much. Hardly a huge deal.

Tyler tapped the word "crazy," and mouthed, "That too."

He wrote, Excellent. I'll talk to them. Sheepish, hhe tapped his throat. Or write. Whatever.

Who knows. Perhaps talking will be possible...eventually. Peter showed the notebook to Tyler with a half-smile then made a face.

Someday, Tyler wrote, shrugging.

He nodded to Peter and moved into a series of stretches.

Zack grinned and waved to Peter, before starting his own set of drills.

Peter smiled back and gave a little salute.

You look happy he mouthed.

Cordy painted my toenails last night Zack mouthed back, because he was a dork. He wiggled his toes in his runners, not that Peter could see that.

Peter blinked and assumed he'd misunderstood. Good he mouthed. She's a nice girl.

Zack totally didn't blush while he nodded his agreement with Peter.

Peter grinned and gave Zack a thumbs up.

Zack grinned back and returned the gesture, before starting his drill up agian.

Zack started stretching, he may have seemed unusually chipper this moning.

Cameron wasn't in the best of moods. He took a long time warming up and when he finally picked up the ball, he seemed to be entirely concentrating on the imaginary game he was playing again himself.

River knew by now where to find Tyler. And she had brought her drawing pad and pencils, making possible a conversation less one way.

Hi. Checked on Berthold. He's fine.

Tyler grinned and gave River the thumbs up, then reached for a pencil.

Good. Tell him I said hi.

River grinned back.

I will. You're hurt?

Tyler nodded, running a hand through his hair.

Nadia KICKS, he wrote. I'll be okay.

River had missed the Fight Club flyer, so it didn't quite make sense, but as Tyler wasn't upset she saw no need to be either.

I assume you don't want me to kick her back, she wrote. I'll let you get on with the practise now.

Tyler shook his head emphatically.

"Fair fight," he mouthed. "See you."

He waved, then was back on the court.

Observe. Silently.

GOB's here. How useful he is when he can't yell at people is completely questionable.
