Summer Picnic, Main Campfire, Friday afternoon

At lunchtime, the campfire area was set up with blankets, baskets, picnic tables, food, and ant problems. The groundskeeper who brought the ants was later sent home for the rest of the day. It turned out that he didn't really like picnics.

[OOC: I suck and completely forgot about this. Sorry about the relative lateness. It's a sunny and fairly comfortable day. I MOD WEATHER! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!]

"Actual blade? I'm moving up in the swordy world," Willow said, proud of herself.

"We'll need to get you comfortable with some basic forms first," Peter said with a nod. "And work on your balance." He paused. "If you truly do want to keep working with the weapons, you'll need to learn a stretching routine and keep up with it. I...err...asked Setsuna if she'd show you that though I'd do so if you'd prefer."

"Okay," Willow said, though she was oblivious to why they'd need Setsuna. "It's nice of her to offer to help."

Peter almost corrected her then changed his mind. Because he was perfectly happy to avoid the conversation about why he did not wish to help her with that. "And I'll be sure to give you the mint liniment."

She patted him on the leg. "My knight is so good to me."

"I'm just trying to remain a benefit," Peter said with a grin.

Willow giggled and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "You are a big benefit. Very big. Even in unsworded situations."

Peter kissed her back. "Unsworded? This is a word now?" He may have been very ready to duck a thwapping.

"See, again you would know this answer if you took vocabulary tests," Willow said, teasing him.

"Why do I doubt that?" Peter asked. "Especially when you certainly just made it up."

"I did not," Willow said. "I unsword, you unsword, he/she/it unswords. Yesterday I unsworded. It's a word."

"You conjugated it certainly," Peter said. "But where's the definition?"

"To be without a sword," Willow said. "Obviously."

"Somehow? I just don't believe you," Peter said, grinning. "Maybe we should find a dictionary."

"You know the word 'gullible' isn't in the dictionary either," Willow told him, all innocence.

Peter tried not to laugh. "You're only about 65 years too late on getting me for that one."

"Nuts," Willow said, pouting with disappointment.

"You could find new material?" Peter suggested, nudging her with his shoulder.

"You'd think being born decades after you would mean it's all new material," Willow said. She looked at him hopefully. "Did you hear the one about the two atoms?"

"No..." Peter said slightly tentatively.

Willow looked pleased. "One atom says to the other 'Oh no! I've lost an electron!' and the second atom says 'Are you sure?' and the first atom says 'Yes, I'm positive!'"

"Which is a good thing?" Peter guessed.

"Oh," Willow's face fell. "I figured with Einstein and all..."

"I rather know who that is?" Peter explained. "But I was twelve. It's not like we learned science."

"We'll just have to fix that then," Willow said, brightly and possibly with far too much enthusiasm for a normal person.
