Lunch, Friday

The Chef wasn't speaking this morning. Instead he held up signs (which were written in English for some reason.)

Sorry about not talking this morning students. I stumbled upon a whole bag of saltwater taffy last night and ate the whole thing. So now my mouth is pretty much glued together. But I have no regrets. SALTWATER TAFFY FOR LIFE!

Today's Menu:

-Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches

-Tuna Fish Sandwiches

-Assorted Raw Vegetables

-Fruit Salad

She grinned. "I'll remember that. Next time I have them out, I'll have to rush to your side, so that I may finally see the truth." Yes, Sakurazaki somehow wanted to tie that into the whole patch thing, but she was neither clever nor witty enough at the moment.

Pip nodded. "Well, just make sure it's the right side. Left side's a little fuzzy." He sipped at his drink. "So, interesting first Stealth class."

If Pip had been trying to get her in a better mood, he'd succeeded. If he was trying to spark conversation, not so much.

Face flushed pink rather suddenly and a rather dopey grin on her face, Sakurazaki's eyes drift away slightly. "Hehe," she chuckles a bit. "Yeah, it was..."

Pip grinned. "Ahhhh yes. Jude is also in that class. Although I was referring to Alfred sneaking up on all of us at the beginning of the class and less whatever fun penalties you were coming up for each other."

Sakurazaki's blush had reached a point where it was almost incapasitating. But after a moment, she's able to chuckle enough of it away so she can talk again.

"That was very impressive. A highly advanced technique. And to bring up Sun Tzu on the first day!" She seems to have sobered back up with a near impressive quickness. "I'm very excited about the workshop; I feel...I hope, anyway, that I will come away from it with a higher awareness and a better ability to do my work." She nods solemnly; Pip had mentioned he was a mercenary, right? So he should completely understand.

Pip nodded. "The Element of Suprise is the most important for any battle, to be sure. Have you ever seen Alfred fight?"

[identity profile] bound2blade.livejournal.com 2006-07-15 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
She shook her head. "I have not; but after witnessing even just his stealth capabilities in class, I imagine that it is definately something to be seen."

Pip nodded. "I have. Snowman attack. Happened before you came here. It was impressive, to say the least. He didn't do an awful lot of actual attacking, but each time he did try to hit, it always connected, and it was always a killing blow. It was like he didn't want to waste his time and energy on attacks that would do the job."

Sakurazaki's rather unaware that she seems to be leaning in closer with almost each word, picturing it in her head and becoming rather entranced. "I wish I could have been there," she gushes, grinning.

Pip grinned. "Do you have a crush on the teacher? What would Jude say?"

What? Older men was Asuna-san's territory, and even Alfred was well beyond his years for even her.

"No, I just appriciate a fine warrior for what he is!" Sakurazaki is flustered, but she's also chuckling.
