Basketball, gym, 9 a.m. FHT

Tyler does not look entirely awake yet as he practices dribbling the ball around the court. But looking half-asleep isn't exactly unusual for him.

"Hey," he greets his teammates. "I know some of you probably want to get to the baseball game, so short practice today. Stretch out, jump rope for five minutes, sink ten baskets and then go do whatever you want to do."

After stretching, Zack started skipping.

Yes, he was also chanting, for he was a bit of a dork.

Anders did his usual warmup routine, humming "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" to himself the whole time.

Conner did his stretches, a little bit of jumprope, and then some footwork stuff. Hoping nobody would notice the footwork drills were geared more towards, you know, soccer.

John stretches and attempts to jump rope. Attempts because he doesn't do too well, stings himself with the rope and just generally looks the fool.

Playing basketball again seemed odd to Peter so he took a rather long time stretching while he watched the others shoot.

Zack actually managed a fairly good ratio of baskets to misses today.

Well, it took about thirty-seven attempts total, but Conner finally made all ten layups and decided for thoroughness's sake to try and hit ten baseline jumpers from either side, then ten from the top of the key. All told? 40 baskets to 104 attempts. Not horrible, but not great either.

Of course Anders wasn't eager to get to the baseball game. That had nothing to do with why he sank ten freethrows and took off like a shot.

In 30 attempts, Tempe made the 10 baskets. 3 of the 10 were even from the 3 point line. She was improving.

Peter attempted a few dribbling drills before trying to make his shots. He felt like he'd barely touched a ball before, and it took him a long time to actually start hitting the basket with any regularity. He kept on shooting long after he made ten, hoping to start feeling more comfortable again.
