Thursday 6/29 - library is open

Kurt was going to install a vat of coffee in the library. He swore it.

Meanwhile the stack of paperwork on his desk never got any smaller.

"I know," Piper said quietly. "I'm worried about Veronica...and everyone. They shouldn't have to deal with this."

She looked at Phoebe. "We can't give up, though. We're gonna figure this out."

Phoebe nodded. "I know. I looked up tentacle monsters online and all I really found was a lot of really bad hentai."

Piper shuddered. "Maybe there's something in that book you've got there?"

"I hope...Oh god..."

Phoebe had flipped to a page and something jumped out at her. She placed her hand on the page to steady it while she read and heard that familiar roaring sound in her ears. "No... oh no..." Phoebe gasped as a premonition took hold of her.

She saw a group of people, faces she sensed she recognized flashing by too quickly to identify, standing in a circle. They were chanting as one in the center wound a ribbon around something. Suddenly a tentacle erupted from the earth outside the circle, slithering along the ground as it reached for the center person. There were more people outside the circle, and these attacked the tentacle, chopping it to pieces before it could find its target. Another tentacle snaked from the ground, then another.

Phoebe jerked back into her chair, her face pale and her eyes wide.

Piper gave Phoebe a concerned look. "What did you see?"

Phoebe shuddered and quickly repeated what she had seen. "I know the faces but it was so fast that they went by..."

"What triggered the premonition?" Piper asked, glancing at the book.

"Him." Phoebe pointed at Lysistratas.

[absolutesnark]

"So we're just gonna have to figure out how to stop it," Piper said, trying to sound optimistic. But she was very concerned at the same time.

"We will. We have to."

[absolutesnark]

Piper nodded in agreement.

[sensethevisions]

"I should tell Cole we have a name of a demon and an idea..." She ran a hand through her hair. "This at least gives us a place to start."

"It's better than nothing," Piper added. "Maybe we can even use some of the spells in the Book of Shadows."

[sensethevisions]

She nodded. "We should write about this in the Book after this is all over."

[absolutesnark]

"Definitely," Piper agreed.

[sensethevisions]

"I'm scared."

[absolutesnark]

Piper reached across the table and held Phoebe's hand. "So many people are trying to help. No way we're going to let this thing win."

Phoebe nodded. "It's what we do..."
