Callisto stood at the front of the class, giving no sign that she might have been up all night doing things in the wood. "Good morning class," she said. "Great news, today you get to keep your shoes. Well, some of you at least."

After giving a brief, yet highly informative, lecture on snares and pit traps, Callisto, pointed to a group of maps and several piles of rope.

"One of the more important parts of trapping is the placement, so those of you with shoes, take a map and go scout out the area to try and find suitable areas to lay snares. While they're doing that the rest of you will work on snare making."

Joxer is equally surprised as Buffy about not giving up his boots.

Dead Joxer, however, seems to have tagged along to class. And is staring at Callisto.

Joxer is doing his best to ignore the rantings of Dead Joxer. Dead Joxer appears to have a lot on his mind about Callisto, and what Joxer should do about her.

Joxer continues to shove his fingers in his ears and say "Lalalalalala, not listening, lalalalalalalala."

It truly makes him perfectly aware of his surroundings while he's scouting. Honest.

Then of course Joxer would notice the noose snare lying directly in his path.

Dead Joxer, in the mean time, had taken to facepalming.

Aeryn signs in. She's not surprised about the shoes, she's suspicious.

Aeryn's just paying attention. Because seriously, she got to keep her shoes. There's a reason to listen, she just doesn't know what it is yet.

Aeryn's still trying to be careful while scouting, while also trying not to be paranoid. She appears pretty cool, anyway.

There seemed to be an awfully large amount of leaf litter on this path. Suspiciously large, even.

When Aeryn notices this, she tends to step slower, and a bit more carefully. Just in case.

Funny...dirt paths don't usually creak...

Buffy might see something glinting in the middle distance. Over there, near that tree.

Aeryn slows down so that she's almost stopped, and if she walks, it's her taking larger steps towards the edge of the path, where the leaf litter isn't as obvious.

That creaking sound? Now sounds a lot more like snapping.

Given his encounter with Callisto earlier in the week, Alec should probably be afraid. He's not, of course.

This would be Aeryn moving a little bit faster, already looking for anything she can to hold onto if she can't make it in time.
