Wilderness Survival - Week 6 | Thursday Morning, A Clearing in the Woods
Callisto stood at the front of the class, giving no sign that she might have been up all night doing things in the wood. "Good morning class," she said. "Great news, today you get to keep your shoes. Well, some of you at least."
After giving a brief, yet highly informative, lecture on snares and pit traps, Callisto, pointed to a group of maps and several piles of rope.
"One of the more important parts of trapping is the placement, so those of you with shoes, take a map and go scout out the area to try and find suitable areas to lay snares. While they're doing that the rest of you will work on snare making."
Shoes:
Alec
Joxer
Cameron Mitchell
M Parker
Buffy Summers
Aeryn Sun
Shoeless:
Hamlet Dane Jr
Alphonse Elric
Janet Fraiser
Max Guevera
Molly Hayes
Sam Winchester
[ooc: Of course, unbeknownst to the shoes group, Cal has spent the previous night laying snares and traps of her own for them to find. I'll ping in when you stumble across one. Nothing that will actually harm more than the trappee's dignity, but in most cases you'll need help to get out.]

Re: Out in the woods - Scout! (WS - Wk6)
Parker lost her map, scrambling for purchase. She screeched a bit, then tried to remember what the hell you're supposed to do-- lie flat, right? Right?
She attempted to do that. When she didn't flail.
Re: Out in the woods - Scout! (WS - Wk6)
Whether she's actually able to move in the mud? That's another thing altogether.
Re: Out in the woods - Scout! (WS - Wk6)
The relief was quickly followed by sheer disgust. "Oh, that's just *perfect*." She tried to push through the mud, but she might as well have been wrapped in straitjacket. A very muddy, wet, sticky, straitjacket. Her arms were free, but nothing else.
"SOMEBODY! HELP ME!"

Re: Out in the woods - Scout! (WS - Wk6)
She looked around for a stick, or a branch, or grass to pull herself out of there, and sloooooowly started to make progress, swearing in Russian the whole time.
