Wilderness Survival - Week 6 | Thursday Morning, A Clearing in the Woods

Callisto stood at the front of the class, giving no sign that she might have been up all night doing things in the wood. "Good morning class," she said. "Great news, today you get to keep your shoes. Well, some of you at least."

After giving a brief, yet highly informative, lecture on snares and pit traps, Callisto, pointed to a group of maps and several piles of rope.

"One of the more important parts of trapping is the placement, so those of you with shoes, take a map and go scout out the area to try and find suitable areas to lay snares. While they're doing that the rest of you will work on snare making."

Her legs are longer, anyway. She places one foot at the bottom of one wall, one foot on the other, then tries to lean over to see if she would be able hold herself up with her hands that way. If the other side was just out of reach of her hand before, she thinks it should work.

Aeryn's legs are long enough to reach the other side, yay!

This makes for a happy Aeryn, or it will when she gets all the way up there. She moves one leg up, puts her weight on her hands and that foot, then brings the other one up. She keeps this up to crawl up the pit.

Aeryn brushes herself off, taking quick stock of any injuries. She doesn't have any and I have a couple hours so she figures she might as well continue.
