Writing Workshop - 6/27 - Journalism Classroom - Tuesday Morning
Chloe was back on the laptop this morning when everyone came in, drinking what was clearly not her first cup of coffee.
"Okay, so I'm doing a slight switch in the syllabus this week. Those of you who have been looking towards the Romance class with dread will be happy to know that you have one last week of a reprieve." Chloe laughed, and handed out the worksheet for this week, before launching into a short lecture about fanfiction and its characteristicswhich is probably a lecture the mun could give at frightening length.
"Now, I'd like to think that either at home, or in your time here at school, you've been exposed to some television shows or some movies. So, I'd like you to take the rest of the class period to work on some of your own fanfiction. Write yourself into the story, or stick two characters together who were never able to get together while the show was on. It's entirely up to you.

Turn in Your Assignment (6/27)
Re: Turn in Your Assignment (6/27)
She sighed and turned to walk down the hall, almost walking right into Donavon.
“Oh, hey,” she said, looking at him with hopeful eyes.
Donavon looked nervous. “Vanessa, can we talk?”
Vanessa nodded and led him in to a nearby janitor’s closet. “What’s up?” she asked, her heart beating in triple time.
“Are you back together with Eric?” he blurted out.
She shook her head. “I’m pretty sure that he’ll never forgive me for what I did,” she said. “And it’s just as well. I don’t want to date someone I can’t trust.”
Donavon’s face fell. “I guess that makes sense,” he mumbled. “Okay, I’ll see you in class.” He started to walk past her.
“Donavon, wait,” Vanessa said, putting out a hand to stop him.
He looked back at her and she saw her own hopeful feelings mirrored in his expression.
“That’s not the only reason I’m not back together with him,” she said.
“What’s the other reason?”
Vanessa looked him directly in the eye. “I don’t want to be with him if there’s any chance I can get you back.”
Donavan stepped close and put his hand on Vanessa’s waist. “You still want to be with me even after knowing what I did?”
She nodded. “You’re the first boy I ever loved. And the only boy I’ll ever love.”
He smiled and pulled her close for a kiss.
