Archery Workshop #6, 6/27, Danger Shop, Afternoon
As the students enter the Danger Shop, they will find that it is set up very differently from previous sessions. However, the set-up, a rough-looking part of an old town, may seem familiar to some of the students. The scenery is entirely in black and white, as are the students themselves. Ain't technology grand?
Miho stands next to a blackboard, looking alert and almost...cheerful. Unlike in previous sessions, she has a quiver of arrows at her back and a strung bow in hand. The blackboard says, ARM YOURSELVES. The students will find that their bows are standard, but the arrows in their quivers have been modified with spongey tips soaked in red ink. Also available are white cover-alls to protect clothing, should the students so choose. Once everyone is armed and/or dressed, Miho flips the blackboard over.
DODGING AND SITUATIONAL AWARENESS
1. Get to the other end of the street without getting hit anywhere vital.
2. If you get hit somewhere vital, you are Out.
2a. I am optimistically pretending you know what constitutes 'vital.'
3. If you are not trying to the best of your ability, you are fair game for the teacher.
3a. Actually, you are fair game for the teacher no matter what.
4. If you get to the other end of the street, there are brownies.
5. Yes, your targets are one another.
6. You may pick up and use spent arrows to replenish your ammunition.
7. Good luck.
By the time the students finish reading this list, Miho will have vanished to her preferred vantage point on the roof.

Re: During the Exercise
This? Was so much better than the last time he'd had to run this guantlet. First, he was actually armed himself, although he would prefer a gun or two to the bow. And secondly, and more importantly, he wasn't dressed up like some kind of rodent.

"That's what I have been doing, Sammy," he said. "If I wasn't you'd be out already."

Calculating angles and distance, Dean nocked an arrow in his bow and then popped up, fired, and ducked back down again, all in one motion.
Re: During the Exercise
She snarled a little, then called, "Nice shot, but I'm still alive!"

He was much better doing the shooting-while-running thing with a laser gun than with a bow and arrow, but he hoped his aim wasn't too horribly off.

rather exaggeratedly farther than the laws of physics would dictateand hit the ground, panicking."Arrow in chest! Arrow in chest! Ow!"
Okay, so it had hit him pretty much right in the sternum, but still. PANICKING HERE, BECAUSE OMGWTF ARROW IN CHEST FROM OUT OF NOWHERE.

"Oh. Huh. I guess I'm not out?"
But he would be, if he didn't get up and scramble for cover right that second.
Re: During the Exercise
Sneaking up behind him from around the corner of a nearby building, she let an arrow fly towards a bit of movement she saw next to a car.
Re: During the Exercise
Spinning around, he saw Dawn just as she pulled back into the shelter of the building and he raised his bow, aimed and let an arrow go at her all in one movement.
