As the students enter the Danger Shop, they will find that it is set up very differently from previous sessions. However, the set-up, a rough-looking part of an old town, may seem familiar to some of the students. The scenery is entirely in black and white, as are the students themselves. Ain't technology grand?

Miho stands next to a blackboard, looking alert and almost...cheerful. Unlike in previous sessions, she has a quiver of arrows at her back and a strung bow in hand. The blackboard says, ARM YOURSELVES. The students will find that their bows are standard, but the arrows in their quivers have been modified with spongey tips soaked in red ink. Also available are white cover-alls to protect clothing, should the students so choose. Once everyone is armed and/or dressed, Miho flips the blackboard over.

DODGING AND SITUATIONAL AWARENESS
1. Get to the other end of the street without getting hit anywhere vital.
2. If you get hit somewhere vital, you are Out.
2a. I am optimistically pretending you know what constitutes 'vital.'
3. If you are not trying to the best of your ability, you are fair game for the teacher.
3a. Actually, you are fair game for the teacher no matter what.
4. If you get to the other end of the street, there are brownies.
5. Yes, your targets are one another.
6. You may pick up and use spent arrows to replenish your ammunition.
7. Good luck.

By the time the students finish reading this list, Miho will have vanished to her preferred vantage point on the roof.

Run, shoot at one another, hide behind cars or virtual hookers, get shot with paint-arrows. Possibly die an overly dramatic 'death.'

At the far end of the street, there is a table set up with the promised brownies and a bucket full of cans of soda on ice. Enjoy it. You earned it.

This is a topic very near and dear to Miho's heart, it seems. :)

Buffy armed herself quickly, and beamed. Off course, stakes would have been better, but she understood that you weren't really to kill the others. That would be bad.

Isabel signed in.

Bel signed in.

Instead of looking enthusiastic about the possibility of shooting classmates, Bel appeared tired and nervous, wishing he could be somewhere else.

Conner signed in, not looking happy about the monochrome thing again.

Sam signed in.

Conner opted to forgo the white coveralls, because hello, red. He picked up his bow and quiver of arrows and cast a longing glance toward the brownies. He couldn't see them from here, though. "Oh, boy."

Conner glanced over in the middle of strapping his quiver on ~~so not as dirty as that sounds~~ and raised an eyebrow in Bel's direction. "You okay today, man?"

"Huh? What?" Bel said, tearing himself from his thoughts. "I'm, uh, okay," he lied. "Just didn't sleep well last night I guess." He forced a chuckle.

"Yeah," Conner said, "you look pretty out of it. That's gonna make dodging arrows kind of harsh."

He glanced around, futilely, for any sign of Miho and shook his head. "I don't think she'll go easy on you for it either."

Way to go, Conner. Be motivational.

"I can always shimmer," Bel said with a smirk, relaxing a little. "Kinda hard to hit me when I'm not there."

"Oh, that is so not fair," Conner laughed, although to be perfectly honest he'd have been using his speed if he still had it. "But hey, at least one of us'll make it that way."

Sam was far more amused by the prospect of getting to shoot his classmates than he really should have been.

Best of your abilities, huh? Bel grinned and shimmered to the other end of the street. Voila.

"Those brownies have my name on them," Bel said, grinning. "Unless some student made them in Baking yesterday. Then I might be afraid."

Conner pelted down the street toward a dumpster, and crouched down, halfway wedged between the dumpster and the wall while he scanned for the next object he could use for shelter.

Lamppost? Bad idea. Telephone booth? Looked kind of skeezy. Oh, car. Cars were good. He ran as quietly as he could -- one useful thing Eric had taught him -- toward the car, hoping to get behind it in time. And hope nobody had a clean shot at him from a rooftop anywhere.

"Oh, dude." Conner's eyes widened. "She can't possibly be that evil, can she?"

Bel glanced over to Miho. "Don't know," he said. "But you never can tell with the quiet ones."
