As the students enter, the Danger Shop appears to be a mostly empty room with a half circle of chairs in the middle.

The focal point of the half circle is a large white board which has a list of names on one half. The other half is covered at the moment.

Once everyone has arrived, Veronica begins briefing them.

"I don't know what you guys did to earn detention today and frankly, I don't care. Today we're going to solve a mystery and you're going to put someone else's well being before for your own."

She uncovers the other half of the board, which has a list of information about a missing girl, including a physical description.

"The girls' parents believe she has run off with her boyfriend and don't want to involve the authorities. It's your job to find her."

"This is true," she says with a grin. "I mean, hell, even the detention here is practical. I was half expecting to be sitting in seiza all day." There's a slight weathered look on her face at the mention of it.

"What's that? Is it better or worse than my mentor's idea of punishment, which this week meant cleaning the kitchen with a toothbrush?"

An eyebrow arches. "If you ask me, seiza is better. It's a traditional form of punishment for Japanese students. It technically means 'correct sitting,' and misbehaviour is punished by making students sit with their legs tucked under them like so," she shifts in her chair to demonstrate, assuming the position, "for several hours, and nothing more. It doesn't bother me so much because I'm used to meditating like this, but it can be hellish for someone not so accoustomed to it."

"I'd rather clean the kitchen with a toothbrush," Walter decided. "It's a butler's discipline to be able to be silent and still, but I never have to do it for hours at a time."

Heaven help him if Alfred heard that from him.

"...You're a butler?" She had to ask.

Walter nodded and shrugged. "It's not as though London's being overrun by vampires ~~that happens fifty-five years in my future~~. I have to do something with my free time."

Sakurazaki head bobs slightly. "That...is a very good point."

Somehow in the course of their conversation, Walter had actually managed to eat his lunch. Funny how that happens. "I think it's just about time to move on with our investigations." He picked up his dishes. "It was a pleasure meeting you at last. Oh, when do you want to do the interview?"

She considers. "Hmmm, sometime next week, maybe? I only have workshops Monday through Wednesday, mornings and afternoons. So any time beyond those times that work for you can work for me."

"Monday evening or Thursday morning or evening will work for me, if that still fits your schedule for your documentary."

"Thursday morning would be perfect."

"Thursday morning it is. Let's meet in the junkyard, since you want a demonstration."

She nods her head, part bow. "Thank you, Walter! I'm looking forward to it."

"Excellent. Good day." Walter gives her a bow in return, seemingly comfortable with the gesture, and leaves.
